haha no doubt.i agree! but would you have done the same betting wce into the top 4 from last year? i would have!

Good point, this is the thing i love about footy the most, no one knows what will happen, gold coast could go undefeated and collingwood could loose every game, although its highly unlikely.

i look forward to 2012

Coll - Just too good
Haw - Good mix of young talent and mature heads
Carl - Good midfield, just need 1 or 2 key talls to fire
Bris - Great young midfield, Redden will go up another level
Syd - Good side, but not good enough
Wce - Take a small step backwards
North Melb - Good young side without too many glaring weaknesses
Ess - To have a similar year to this one. Very inconsistent

Geel - Too old, too slow etc, you know the drill
Fre - Even with players back just aren't good enough
Adel - Youngsters will show gradual improvement
Melb - Slog it out again, but wait till 2013/14, will be hard to stop
Rich - Development in their youngsters, may finish higher
Stk - Playing the kids will have short term falls but needs to be done in the long run
Port - Still struggling
GC - Not good enough
GWS - Last

I honestly would not be surprised to see Brisbane make a run for the finals, they were very competitive in just about every game this year, an underrated side.
Competitive is alot different to winning 10-13 would be more realistic top 8 would be very lucky and top 4 would be out of the question

Who thought West Coast would make the top 4 this year? Usually one or two teams come out of no where and finish near the top. People who predict almost the same ladder as this year will be so wrong.

I've gone through the fixture, and used past results, 2011 form and trends to come up with the following ladder:

Interesting to note, the top 8 remains the same as 2011 with a few position changes.

The problem with predicting the way i have - is being ignorant to teams to improving - we can never predict what the year ahead has, which teams have a good run with injury, which teams don't etc, but i've tried to based on 2011, form & trends.
