I don't understand the hate for Andy murray. I dislike his mother because she was clearly a stumbling block for him yet she refused to piss off.

Djokovic/Murray, for some reason, is a boring match up.
I'd have to agree after I what I saw tonight, 30 shot rallies with literally no attempt at attacking the net or a passing shot, holding serve until the end of the 3rd, which pretty much made the scorline look like the Sampras-Agassi 01 US Open QF.
Tonight would have to be the most boring as shit final in years, and it will probably only be remembered for Novak's hat-trick

After their match in 2011, which was even worse.

A very boring final and I blame Murray because he refuses to attack the net at any stage. That it works for him doesn't help.

Hopefully Tsonga and the return of Rafa can shake things up ...

Djokovic/Murray/Nadal are pretty boring matchups because they are all so defensive. You get lots of loopy forehands and pushing each other around the court.

It's a shame because Murray actually has a lot of shots in his bag if he wanted to pull them out. Hopefully he realises that he needs to be a bit more aggressive to beat Djokovic and Nadal regularly, because they will outpush him all day.

We need Rafa back and Tsonga to step up.

Put it this way, we pray on earth that Rafa comes back and thrashes Murray before the final, if I have to watch another Murray bore fest, that will do me.

Maybe I haven't seen many games with Murray but was he always this boring! His game is so dull!

Definitely need Rafa next year, I don't really want to see Ferrer in another semi, I am not saying that he didn't deserve to be there because he won his way there, but those top level players look a class above him. Murray is boring, Djokovic may be defensive but he is still good to watch, who knows whether Federer will be able to compete at the same level next year, i'd have to say that he would still be up there. Would love to see Tsonga win a grand slam. Del Potro, Raonic and the like don't look like stepping up and threatening these guys. The Women's side was a fairly boring tournament if you ask me, Sharapova and Azarenka had it so easy early on as did Serena. Tournament highlight no doubt Wawrinka vs Djokovic, then can hardly think of another one anywhere close to that.

Aussie boy - I agree, Wawrinka v Novak match was the highlight, and the Tsonga v Federer match had some good moments.

I think Tsonga is the only one that can challenge the top 4, I don't see Raonic making the Grand Slam finals any time.

As for the women, Sharapova showed us the women's field is pretty average, once she came across a decent player in Li Na she was beaten easily. Azarenka had an easy draw and she was lucky that Serena wasn't fully fit to challenge her.

Anyway, bring back Sampras and Agassi lol I miss watching these guys play tennis.

Tsonga is the only player in the top ten capable of winning a grand slam over the Big Four (unless injuries/something else strikes them down). In order to beat them, you need a mix of great defense and great offense. Tsonga is the only one in the top ten with both at an acceptable level.

What happened to Soderling? I know he got injured at one stage. It's shame he isn't still fit to compete against the top guys because he had the game to challenge them.
Still fighting mono and may not ever return. Probably a bit old to trouble the top players with his game now though.

Although most dislike him, I want to see Soderling come back. He could shake the top players.
He's struggling with some niggling injuries, as well as trying to adapt to fatherhood. Can't wait until he comes back, he was a real joy to watch at times..

Pretty sure he has accepted the fact his career is over, unfortunate as he was a great player to watch, could have won 2 or 3 slams fully fit, never got back after that terrible injury.

Pusher is what defines Murray...and he wonders why he is dead buggered when he gets to finals...he barely wins easily in any of his matches.

Their season-ending London meeting was intense stuff. The only decent match, between the two, I could recall.

On a side note, anyone notice that whenever Andy is losing, he tends to grab random parts of his body? It's as if he's insinuating that he's injured and wants to give up.. it gets quite frustrating at times. Commentators have picked up on it as well, a number of times...

I agree on Ferrer, and having an AO Open QF with Almagro and Ferrer was beyond a disgrace, both are clay court pushers! Give Raonic some credit- he did play with stress fractures in his feet! Del Potro will always prefer the clay and the US Open quicker courts. The AO is a slowish surface nowadays and he does stuggle to hit through the court so to speak. I agree on the tournament highlight- I saw that match live, great match!
