Every coach allocates a player a rating from 0 to 5.

For Round 23 players who were 'rested' get average votes for their season which is interesting. Players who were injured and unavailable don't get votes for Rnd 23.

While many of the boys came arm in arm with their partners or dates for the evening, Paul Duffield walked in by himself.

“I’m obviously not good enough to get myself a date,” Duffield, who will be the sole single person on his table for the second year running, joked.

Curiously, ‘Duff’ made his entrance a good 20 minutes before any teammate arrived at the venue. This may or may not have had something to do with him not having to wait for his date to get ready.

Not surprising, he was very very strong in our voting too ....

... but as expected, SonSon came back to the field after mid-season injuries etc.

And my pick of MJ isn't looking bad, though Mayne (another I thought would go well) is still in the mix big time - though neither have sensational finishes to the year truth be told.

Sutcliffe wins the Beacon award. Lachie Neale must have been a very close second.

Not sure how they do the Beacon, but Sutty played 19 games (including finals), if it's games/points based, that's a big plus right there.

Think he's a worthy winner actually. Neale was the 'better', but Sutty was an integral member of the team, often coming off the bench, but still important, for much of the year.
