He was no good.

He was made to look good by playing as a free man in defence AND by having 8 or 9 other players swarming back into the defensive 50 to help him out.

He wasn't Avery good one on one defender and played a role to make him good. He typified Neil Craig abd his shit game plan.

Looks good but amounts to nothing when pressure is applied.

He may have well admitted he needed to get fitter, doesn't mean that's an excuse for spudding it up in the SANFL.

And your right there is a precedence, Jarhan Jacky.

Jacky's issue was mental not talent ......we can name probably 6-7 players for the Crows that failed not because of talent but the lacking of an array of mental aptitudes

I love playing it because it puts your opinion in perspective, nothing desperate about it.

Henderson yes

Brown and Talia play very different roles. Stop trying to play the tough guy act by being a know all by discrediting my opinion as if it doesn't matter. Stevens was a dud and was lucky to play as many games as he did.

Disagree, Scott Stevens was a reliable contributor at AFC & was a shame he had to retire early with his concussions.

But the game plan made him look much better than he was and the game plan had many epic flaws towards it.

Crapshoot that it is, the club would have to be happy with what they got. While they won't all make it, there are no "projects" (read some average footballer the recruiting guy saw take a speccy once) who almost never go on with it.

What makes it more interesting this year is that all of them will have exposed form in the Crows 2nds with good players around them rather than be stuck in the Eagles reserves all season coz the local coach doesn't like their dad. We'll know pretty quickly whether they're any good.

I used to have to make sure nothing was within punching distance whenever he got the ball. I've never seen someone master the art of the hospital pass quite like him

Mine wasn't bad! 1 and 2!!

Does anyone else think that Battersby may be our second pick? If none of the other clubs even considered him at the national draft, maybe they also aren't willing to use their first rookie pick on him?

I know I'm an optimist but I'd love to see this:

1: Cameron
2: Battersby
3: Someone I've never heard of
4: O'brien

... unfortunately I was talking about Darcy Cameron but my Battersby as a second round pick was spot on!

Interesting looking back on this at this stage in the season.

Templeton has done well for himself. 6 games before being injured. He looks like a good pick up.


Plus its been good to see our rookies go around in the SANFL together.
