Anyone giving much thought to Zac Smith as a R2?

I currently have Smith as R2. Can drift forward and kick a goal. It's a bit risky, because there's not a lot of good options outside of the real premium rucks...

For me though there are better mid price options in the forwards and I'd rather have someone like Karnezis over a Billy Longer or a Zac Smith which balances that equation out does it not?

Exactly. Karnezis and to a lesser extent Byrnes represent better value than any of the mid-price Rucks. Leuy included.

It's still there though. He played half a game today apparently. So he is still yet to play a full game? and has only just resumed full training. I can't see him coming in and scoring well straight away. It will take a while.

I kind of like the headache. Rather than everyone just going with Leuenburger there is a lot of risk/variety on who to pick as his replacement.

I agree with you on mate, if the game wasn't as hard i don't think anyone would love it as much. I love having to make them tough decisions!

If he's named round one it should be enough for me to keep him in my team. I don't have enough faith in Currie to have him starting on my field. I'm to happy with my structures and how my teams looking to want to have to fiddle around with the rest of my team to find the cash to upgrade him.

I'm struggling to decide. I'm toying with RUC 1/1/2 + FWD 4/2/2 vs RUC 2/0/2 + FWD 3/3/2 at the moment, but starting three mid-pricers in the forward line makes me really uneasy.

Hearing about Luey playing and getting through the game has given me a little bit of confidence in starting him. He does get this week off, which should help too. But now i am thinking if i should just start Blicavs and use the money elsewhere....hmmmmmm.

I just heard the clicks of Blicavs being locked in and it sounded like Chinese New Year.

I am going to wait a few rounds before making him 2nd ruck. If he gets a regular gig then Cox fwd and premo plus Blics as my ruck duo. Also fixes fwd line headaches.

If he only plays until the other ruckman return then he would have been a handy cash cow.

What do you do when Blicavs goes out of the team in round 2/3/4? Will you have made enough money by then to upgrade him? If Currie is playing everything is super sweet, if not you are trouble. Not sure, I kinda considered that option as well, but not overly keen.
