That's what I'd have thought although a lot has changed at our club in terms of last years crop of draftees and the recent acquisitions of Beams and Christensen.

In saying that I wouldn't be surprised if our interest has been sparked again.

What are people's thoughts on ben newton?

Typo - He meant Bert Newton. Personally I think his best days are behind him. I always thought his IMT work was his best work and while his time on The Don Lane Show was solid, it was a little predictable. Leaving the Logies hosting to one side, his career was on the scale of diminishing returns after 1970.

I think they are the right club, because he certainly will need a pick me up before the season starts. That said, he is a die hard Fitzroy supporter, so he would probably prefer Brisbane Lions or Fitzroy in the VAFA.

I haven't seen much of Hunt, how does he compare to Robbinson? Does taking one rule out taking the other? Will they be taken in the draft or pre season draft? I have zero idea how this all works.

They're both delisted FAs so can pick them up for free outside the draft.

And they're pretty different IMO. Hunt could be the missing link in the backline (small defender) for us and Robinson... Well arguably he is the missing link.
