Any chance of the lions picking up Reece McKenzie with pick 67 as a project player? Power forward that has great hands and acceleration off the lead.
Won't be available at pick 67. Has one of the highest ceilings out of anyone in this draft though.

Aamed Saad?Any mature aged player worth a punt at pick 67?
Deserves another chance. Has some talent. Interesting to see if any teams are prepared to give it to him. Can't see he fits our needs though.Aamed Saad?
What about a punt on Hodge's brother? Maybe more rookie or is it just his surname that has him in calculations?
With West down and Archie still a way off anyone else thinking Paul Hunter might be worth a shot?
Young mature ager with plenty of upside. Tested pretty well athletically at the combine apparently.
I think a Ruck is certainly still a need. We have 3 good optuons with Bergs, Martin and West, but all will be gone in 5 years or close to. Archie is our only next gen ruck, and is still very much a project player. Given rucks take some development time, id certainly look at any decent prospect.
I'd certainly consider him as a rookie, depending on how tall our ressies are looking. Could see him playing fwd/ruck and potentially emergency senior ruck. With West down and Archie still a way off anyone else thinking Paul Hunter might be worth a shot?

Hammelmann will go after 40 you'd think - potentially still there @ 67; would we take him considering we didn't nominate him?
No shortage of clubs looking at him, including the Lions. Apparently Jason Laycock gave him a bit of a touch up in the state game which has hurt his stock a bit. With West down and Archie still a way off anyone else thinking Paul Hunter might be worth a shot?

BRISBANE LIONS
Pick 44: Having traded out their first two selections as part of the deal to acquire Dayne Beams, the Lions' first pick will be No.44, which they have already committed to Academy player Liam Dawson. Dawson's mobility, marking and kicking are his elite traits. The club's first live pick is No.67, so they will be hoping someone they rate slips through.

DUMPED Geelong midfielder Taylor Hunt has paid the price for loyalty, delisted less than 12 months after rejecting an offer from a rival club. Hunt will find out if he’ll get a second chance when the delisted free agent window opens on November 1, but his decision last year to reject a three-year deal from the Brisbane Lions has come back to haunt him. “That’s how quickly it turns. He knocked it back to stay at Geelong and all of a sudden Geelong turn their back on him,” Hunt’s manager Anthony McConville said.
Hunt, who turns 24 next month, made his name as a run-with player across 63 games with the Cats, but struggled with injury over the last 18 months. West Coast has emerged as a potential suitor. The Eagles are keen to add depth to their midfield and are understood to see Hunt as a nice fit. But Hunt will return from Bali on Tuesday in limbo, with clubs a long way from making any guarantees. “It’s not a forgone conclusion that he gets picked up, that’s for sure. I’m pretty nervous about the situation because I see this kid and the talent he’s got and he shouldn’t be in this position and yet he is,” McConville said. “It’s just due to circumstance and the make-up of other clubs and their lists and what they need and whether he fits. We’ve got a mountain of work to do. “In saying that, Geelong were always happy to try and facilitate a trade, but any club who might be interested is of the view that they can get him on the cheap as a delisted free agent.”
