I really liked Ryan Burton for next year, but sadly got injured. I'd try and go for Jeremy Cameron, throw big bucks at him. Wonder how far Burton will slide, won't play at all next year I don't think...

Also Tom Lynch from the GC is a local from Mornington I think, but he's probably happy at the Suns.

Cameron/Lynch/Schache/Burton a must next year.

Those sort of players can be worth looking at and watching.
Knightmare and others had Ben Brown likely to go as early as first round if he hadn't got injured during the championships 2010.
As it turned out he wasn't drafted and sat out the next year.
I thought it would be worth giving him a rookie spot on the back of a solid year at Glenorchy 2012. ( showing that he'd recovered well ).
But it wasn't until the 2013 draft that the AFL recruiters "re-noticed" him. Pick 47 in 2013.
Not sure how well he'll go long term, but he would have been worth that rookie pick.

Never considered targeting o'meara, must saying I think him and Cameron are pretty even as that best young talent in the game IMO. Pretty sure lynch is touted as Gold Coast captain for those suggesting him.

this why i cant fathom why they would downgrade their pick. its going to put some pressure on the young defenders and where does otten play?

durdin 200% wont go past freo. freo have already stated that if he is available at their pick they will take him

having said that i cant see any of durdin or goddard being available at freos pick. GC take durdin and Geelong take goddard IMO

Just to raise an old favourite, last year's 'my boy' Norwood's Liam Davis kicked a handy 3 in the SANFL grand final against Port 2s...

196cm, 95kg, and only just turned 23 last week. He'd be as useful as McKernan off a rookie list...

Pretty sure Lynch played his juniors down at Sorrento, Whitfield (the forgotten #1) was from Mount Martha (basically Mornington).

Cameron or Lynch would be beyond perfect for us, I honestly have trouble seeing either player coming to us - but we can dream I'm just not holding my breath as I was was this year with it.

Each to their own, but I really hope someone better than Ellis is at 21 & macdonald at 22 is to much of a reach.
If you want a key back just grab Nielson at 41.

Agree. Still think the McKenzie rumour has some substance. Or maybe they surprise everybody by not going tall and pick Neal-Bulleen. Local boy they would have seen a lot of. Maybe they really rate him. He will definitely be available at 14.

Ended up with Kelly, Dumont and Lewy Taylor for the Saints last year, Petracca and Lachie Weller (and Viojo-Rainbow, McLaren, Langdon) earlier this year, hoping to replicate something like that!
