Those camps and tests are there for a reason. Almost all speculative picks fail. For every cyril theres probably 100s of sibasados.

I want Pickett. We need speed and this guy is lightening and has a serious tank and skills. Improve our first pick via the trade and trump West Coast for him. We got Apeness last year who is going to be a beast. We can get another very good KPP with our second pick.

Just had a look at Jarrod Garlett highlights and he looks dam good too. Kicks beautifully off left and right and lightning quick with a serious tank. So if we don't get Pickett I wouldn't mind Garlett. Actually would be happy with either. Our team is slow apart from Hill and the ok Pearce. We need pace.

I think Pearce's pace is actually over-rated. Every time somebody else with a bit of toe is in a foot race with him, he seems to come off 2nd best by quiet a bit. Yes he'd be above average pace, but I'm not sure he'd be much quicker than Duffield, Sutcliffe and some other runner types, definately below Crozier/Ballas too i rekon. Although I do see the point of mentioning him, as his position does utilise what pace he does have.

Pearce has quickness pace (quick off the mark) but not straight line pace like Hill.

He is lightning quick, but he doesn't have the same footy smarts, fluency and composure that other quick players do. This applies more so for De Boer and Barlow who actually have very good pace off the mark.

We need Simpson up and running. Got all the same tricks as Garlett. Maybe not quite as fast but there wouldn't be many anywhere who are.

God I hope he makes it, his agility makes Cyril Rioli look sluggish in comparison and he can roost it on his left 60m too. Would be upsetting to see such a talent go unfulfilled.

If we don't upgrade our pick I'd be happy with De Goey or Duggan (not sure where he's tipped to go).

Pretty sure whoever we draft I'm gonna be pretty happy - can't seem to make my mind up.

He'd be a good third tall option for us. In the future (theoretically) we've got Apeness who's what 201cms? Tabs at about 196/197 so our third tall can get away with being around the 190-192 mark.

Mitch is very good overhead but probably doesn't have the kicking penetration his brother has. Very good on the lead and in a contested situation.

I could see him moving in to the midfield as his career progresses. His stocks have risen in the last half of the year. Would love him as our second pick.

Pickett is probably more talented than Garlett but Garlett I think definitely has the drive to succeed in the AFL. He is a super determined young man and his draft results were very good. Both are going to be good players but I have a feeling one club will get Garlett for a bargain and really benefit.
