Just having a gander at the Norm Smith market.

I think I might have to wander down to my local betting shop and put some cash on Dane Rampe. He's at $101, he had a big game last time they played, he's probably suited to attritional GF footy.

So...that didn't work out too well.

But you'll all be happy to know that I had a cheeky bet on Hawthorn to win by 60+ at stupidly long odds.

I realise Sydney have Tip/Buddy but the 'built vs. bought' debate isn't really applicable to this year IMO. Hawthorn had Burgoyne, Gibson, Gunston, Lake, Hale and McEvoy traded into the side that played plus more players who didn't get a game today.

Sydney also have Kennedy, Shaw, Richards and McGlynn which were brilliant pickups.

How is Sydney being 'unfair'? Sure be pissed at the AFL for the extra cap space but Sydney have done nothing wrong. Was our great team of the early 2000's a bunch of mercenaries too?

Pretty much every team have ambassadors too.

Yeah, really happy for him to finally get to be a premiership player....injured at West Coast in 2006 ..... Again.. in 2012 at Sydney was injured during the season and just couldn't get back into a settled Swans line-up......Last year at, his 3rd club, Hawthorn was selected as an emergency........

Um..it's often forgotten Geelong (1) but had lost to Port Adelaide (2) at skilled stadium in R21.....The preliminary finals - Geelong won a tightly fought contest over the Magpies by 5 points at the G.....Port hosted Norf in a preliminary final at AAMI Stadium, smashing em by 87 points...This was the first Grand Final between two teams that had missed the finals the previous year since 1997..and was suppose to be an even contest...Geelong..had earned the nickname the handbags, hadn't won a flag for 44 years...Port had.. 3 years earlier..

My money was on Lewis. I felt I was still in the game at the siren so it was worth the $15. I am quietly cursing Chris Johnson's name for not awarding JL a single vote though...

Just returned to work after seeing one of the most underwhelming GF in many a few. Hawks way too good, swans played their second worse game for the year. Kurt Tippett - no football smarts at all.
