Was always gonna burn for awhile this one.

True. Technically he is supposed to be in the prime of his playing career.

Im glad its Melbourne. I think the pain would have been a lot more severe and harder to take had it been a top 8 Club.

I dont think Melbourne will threaten for the 8 while we have sought of premiership window so to speak.

Fun fact: Vince has not cracked the 30 disposal mark in a premiership season game since R23, 2011.
Sando changed his role to a space creating HFF. Still had a number of quality games for us.

What's interesting about Melb stats tonight is Cross had bugger all contested possessions.. Bernie was about 50/50 contested.

It may have to do who is posting the comments as opposed to the post itself.

Agree 100% with you.:thumbsu:

Thats BS - Kurt didnt leave because of the media, he left of the giant offer made to him. To think anything else, is to be blindingly misguided.

If anything I think he has been more in the spotlight than he has been when he was here, truth be told.
Partially true. He left because he didn't enjoy living life in a goldfish bowl, where his every move was under public scrutiny. It wasn't just the media. He didn't enjoy being unable to walk down the street, or go to the beach, without having well-intended Crows fans approaching him.

He chose Sydney over his other options because of the $$$, but that was after he'd already made the decision to leave.

Maybe some posters can offer feedback about this.

I have ever seen or rarely heard about fans going up to and approaching Crows players. I have seen players all about town and in sorts of different and unexpected places but I have yet to see fans hassle players. In a nightclub situation it is different, hence why players prefer pubs to clubs. I am staggered though if you think that fans have caused him to leave. By fans I am not counting kids under 18 whose only desire is to get an autograph and grab a picture.

That's exactly the kind of attention I'm talking about. Well intended, by fans & supporters, but overwhelming for a person who really values his privacy.

Apart from lining up outside the rooms for an autograph or at crow functions ive never approached a player, I did run into ben hart when he was out shopping on rundle mall, no one approached him but everyone was staring

Just on a side note, I was having a beer with couple of Dave Warner's old schools buddies today who shared with me that Warner's nickname is Lloyd based on the character from Dumb & Dumber

Apparently he is not to bright is our Davie Warner, no surprises really

Thankful that the AFC never pursued Scott Gumbleton, as opposed to some of our supporters who were keen, again struck down with injuries [4 -6 weeks minimum with hamstring issues yet again] even before the season proper has started, no doubt has the ability but a body that will just not stand up to the rigours of AFL.
Update : Now expected to be out for 3 months.....be lucky to get on the park in 2014 methinks!!

Dangerfield was at the Southgate Plaza yesterday with a Port player (Boak I think), He was nice and smiles at first, but soon after he clearly didn't want to be there and was bored lol
