I am not a fan of the 20 metre kicking rule. I don't think it will improve anything. If anything it could make it worse by encouraging teams to continue to kick backwards more often to hold onto possession.

If they are looking to decongest the play all they have to do is reduce severely the rotation allowance. My call is for players to have a minimum of 5 minutes on the bench once they come off. The fitness demands will be too high and players will be forced to rest on the field and will have to hang back in their positions.

I believe so. I also originally only added Victorians.

I was just replying where they came from, to avoid any confusion. Then they didn't think they come from Victoria.

Got to be apart of The Footy Show audience tonight, one of the best experiences I've ever had! I just didn't realise how much goes on behind the scenes to get the show up and running, and what they actually do with the audience during ad breaks (they just play games with us and the panel chat to some audience members they know). You wouldn't believe how relaxed Sam is (while they were about to preview the Hawks vs Richmond game, Sammy had to duck under the camera and quickly run back to his chair as he was still talking to a bloke in the audience haha). There's a fair bit of waiting around before the show starts out in this, well I guess waiting room haha, but that's all good. Roughy absolutely cracks up when Mailbag is on (which the TV audience don't get to see)! Sammy, Gaz and Shane then stayed back after the filming stopped and the audience could ask them anything (won't go into detail of what was asked, that's for our ears only ).

Tom Hawkins is an absolute unit btw when you're right next to him, WOW

Great quarter from the pies then. They look like they're playing just the kind of footy we'll struggle with. High pressure in defence and very fast rebound.

Worrying for our chances in a month, but I guess that's a long time in footy.
