They value known quantities: that is actual AFL standard footballers and know what use they can put them too. They then make the best offer they can with no bull shit.

But honestly, they aren't doing anything outside the rules. About 7 of their flag team come from other clubs, but most were astute trades stretching over quite a long time. And it's largely because they lost Buddy to FA that they can get Frawley and Carlisle.

There will always be rumours regarding Weller it seems and it could easily be bullshit. However, I hope the club knows how settled he is in WA and whether he has thoughts of requesting a trade. If he is iffy the club should consider offloading him if a good trade can be sorted.

Agree, they are leading the Comp in recruiting developed players. It seems to be one per year. Time will tell if they lead the comp in falling in a heap due to no developed players. Clubs will catch on and a natural evolution will take place. Wether that is clubs saying GTFO or poaching Hawks players who knows? Lach72 is correct, midfielders will be on the list next year and really good ones too.
