Are AFL silver members with Hawks club support able to go into the ballot? I cant see anything mentioned so I presume not.

I assumed 'Silver' this year also referred to AFL Silver members, I guess I'm wrong. This is really poor form by the AFL, in previous years we were able to register. I'm very annoyed, more benefits eroded. Does anybody know what our options are this year?

Put 2 barcodes in separately in order to double my chances as usual (thanks Dad who uses his MCC). Surprised there's no priority 3 this year and as an MCC Hawks, I am in priority 2 which is bottom of the pecking order. Never had a problem in the last 3 grand finals as Priority 2 and was Priority 3 in 08 and still got in. What chance would Priority 2 be this year?

This isn't the AFL's fault, it's HFC's fault.
As an AFL Silver Member you are automatically also a Hawthorn GA Member.
In previous years Hawthorn allowed GA Members into the ballot (priority 3) but now have sold so many priority 1 and 2 memberships that they don't allow GA members to go in the ballot. Thus AFL Silver members with Hawthorn club support can't go in Hawthorn's ballot unless they also hold a priority 1 or 2 reserved seat package with Hawthorn. Even if they did let you go in the ballot there would be no tickets left, so they are saving you and all of Hawthorn's GA members the $5 ballot entry fee.

Should Hawks make it through, it is possible there could be some left overs seats for AFL Silver Members after the AFL Full Members have had their go.
9am Tuesday on Ticketek, they release info on the Monday night saying whether there are any tickets left.

Official results released Monday morning, but if you keep an eye on your 'available balance' in the afternoon on the Saturday you can work out if you got a ticket and what category. Need to note down your 'available balance' on the Friday night and keep track of any other card use.

Commbank credit cards have the transaction listed straight away so you'll see it instantly as pending.

Thanks for the clarification, I spoke to the club and they pretty much said the same.

long story short due to suspected fraud ANZ cc, ANZ cancelled the card . the same one I registered for four P1 tickets.

So now I won't be going to the GF - never been more upset- I have let so many people down

i have other accounts other offsets cards I can use which has more than enough to pay for the ticket.

My fear is Ticketek would have already tried and failed to get money out. They are closed until 9am tomorrow morning

It will be painful getting hold of ticketek tomorrow, but worth the effort if it gets you what you have a right to.

I have lived in the UK for the past 5 years and have kept my Kennedy Club membership all that time. I am a 20+ year consecutive member and intended to go to this year's GF. Subsequently I got up early enough in the UK to register with Ticketek to secure my priority 1 ticket for the GF. I tried and tried but kept getting the same message, see below, when it came to the stage of paying for the ticket:

I have emailed Ticketek but as yet have not heard anything back. I'm starting to get a bit panicked about the whole situation. I'm sorry for hijacking the club forum but if theres anyone who can help please get in touch.

It says on the Grand Final registration email they sent that ''members who are successful in the ballot will be charged on the 26th September''.

The ballot doco said you can update details until 11am Friday by calling them.
If you call in the morning they may still do it.
If you kick up a fuss and get documentary evidence from ANZ on what happened then pretty sure they will do it for you.
