Water off a ducks back to Vlas
Dicky Rambling was over loved by Terry and was of a completely different natured to Vlas
Knowing Vlas he would be reading it and piddling himself with endless laughter. Worrying about what players read on a social media site is trivial in 2014 and the cyber world has moved on since Dicky Ramblings time
Remember that first pre-season game against Collingwoid when Tambo made Burns look like he was running in treacle and slammed it through from 50?
Never played with that care-free spirit again.

Scotty Burns made a lot of players look better than they actually were
Even Hampson has a highlight reel and I don't rate him
Tambling was lucky to play so many games as no other coach would have gifted him so many as Wallet did
Sando gave him bugger all and moved him on ASAP
Tambling was a sad story , but no sadder than the rfc of the time and I hope we all have moved on from those trying years

Was a great tackler Tambling, he just didn't want the ball in his hands, you could see it.

The forward coach, whoever it is next year needs to pull their finger out and put together a decent forward structure. Utilise Riewoldt by putting him at FF from round 1 2015 is a good start...

Just thinking of the GC game this year and having Vickery as the focal point pisses me off.

Even Cotchin in an post-season interview said that he is looking forward to having the new forward coach.

Just have Jack play all the time as a stay at home fwd, just wont work in this modern times. We need to rotate our fwds during games, to throw of their defenders to create some chaos. This doesn't mean Jack has to on the wing or anything but our other fwds need to kick 40 goals plus, which means they need to also play closer to goal at times.

Both Griff and Vickery need to take the next step and go from promising to consistent performers.

Conca is the big one, finally gets a pre-season and a chance to improve his fitness, needs to show this is what has been holding him back, i still have faith he can be a high quality player.

Vlas shouldn't be on this list, second year player still tracking very nicely and should improve again next year.

Massive year for the fringe guys in Dea, Arnott, Lloyd, Gordon, McIntosh etc. they need to improve and show they can be good enough going forward.

Great thread.

IMO its a huge year for the whole club. It should be the year we lift from a competitive middle of the road side to a genuine up and coming finals side. If that does not happen, head will roll IMO. I like the way we have seem to have a clear picture of where we are at. We are not throwing huge dollars at 30 plus year old FA like a Norf. We also have not let the nine win straight cloud our judgement that out list is ready to go, again aka Norf.

I really think Norf have blown there load if they go the path of waite and higgens as there draw was the easiest of any club and by beating Essendon, they believe they are ready for a flag tilt. IMO they are exactly where we are at outside a finals win.

We need to make finals, win a final. We need to sure clear improvement in our middle and lower tier players but most important for me. We need to show a clear enhancement of our game plan. Hardwick needs to do what the good coaches do, be innovative and work our strengths to the betterment of the club with the tools he has to work with.

No excuses next year.

I'm with the rest that Conca needs to have a season worthy of a draft pick #6.

But more than that...

We need to sure clear improvement in our middle and lower tier players

IMO, everyone needs to take a step, most of all the likes of McDonough, Arnot, Dea and those blokes who are on the fringe.

I think
Vickery, he was playing well before decking Cox and could have already improved more than we realize.
Griff, Still need confidence and to impact the game more.
Vlas, Need him in the midfield now, time to step up.
Grimes, took him longer to get back to his best but was there at the end of the season, full preseson pls injury gods.
Batch, There is a spot for him if he can get his work rate at 100%.
Astbury. Killed it early and hopefully has a full season.
Dimma, He made some horrendous errors not foreseeing what was coming at the start of the season and as the Chief said "It cant happen like that again".

Although everyone should keep improving, its the younger guys who have the room to improve the most to help the team improve.
