Just 16 year olds being mature enough to vote. I'd say that rules out 95 % of them.
Ah mate, old Bill is so confused right now he hasn't slept for days!
Trying to sure up his base, simples!
****en him and his mates have destroyed an Australian Institution(ALP), by forgetting wtf they stand for these days.....

I'd say we're off to the polls early. Joyous [emoji47]

Wouldn't be surprised, MalBull will want to make the most of the support he has!
I'm studying public policy and I'm so unimpressed with our pollies atm! Would ****en love some consistency and good governance

Sign of the times i'm afraid as politicians from all persuasions play to the tune of the polls, twitter world, facebook & those bloody annoying shock jocks of the eastern states.

That's why I say Tex 4 PM! He won't take any shit, make the tough calls, galoot and such!

Reckon Malcolm would love an early election. 1 because he's virtually assured of winning and 2 because if we take him at his word, you'll see some policy changes which would be good for everyone.

Part of me would rather the players be on Coke over drinking booze. Yes it is illegal and the suppliers cause a lot of harm in society.

Alcohol affects their game more than Coke and thus our chances of winning.

I would be more outraged if a player was drinking to excess and overeating than snorting a few lines of Coke.

Funny . I reckon Coke makes you feel in control but not sure actually grounded in reality. You need a lot more booze than Coke to stuff with your head! I reckon that is exactly what's happened to buddy

I heard Bryce is full on into property development in Melbourne. In other words he has no interest in ever moving back to SA any time soon.
Good.

He couldn't control the party last time, what makes you think it would be any different this time around?
Shorten is not much better either. Oz suffers from a lack of real leaders right now. We have self centrered people claiming to be the answer but they have no idea. They just look after themselves and cater to big overseas business interests. We dig it up and ship it off instead of using it to build stuff we can sell to the world. Until this changes we will still be travelling down the road to third world status before long.:(

For the people. And for the environment. Both needed for long term survival. That's what it used to be about. Now it's about either staying in power, or getting into power. And it's all driven by oil/mining/business lobbyists. None of them have the cajones for long term forward planning, opting purely for the two-three year voting cycle instead. It shits me to tears.

I agree with a lot of what you say, but I must add we the people have to sure some blame.......we allowed this form of governance to take form! Majority don't give a shit and don't make an effort try to and understand the consequences of the people they elect.... Especially my generation and younger. Mid 20s
You can add the media/the Twittersphere/unions to the causes also. It's not just a problem with The Right, it's a problem with the whole system.

There's a saying about you get what you reward.

We want politicians who are strong leaders with good policies, but we reward those who sling the most mud.

I agree completely. I used to be a reasonably conservative voter, but in recent years, couldn't in all good conscience bring myself to vote for a party that had so little empathy for the most vulnerable in our community. Or that had no understanding about the needs of our natural surrounds for our continued survival. That scares the shit out of me to be honest. I could also not bring myself to vote for a party that is driven by factions and has lost all touch with their philosophies. Leaves me in a very difficult place as a voter, because I take my right and responsibility to vote very seriously. In the last election, I was sorely tempted to vote for Mickey Mouse.

Vote below the line in the upper house.

I too have near zero trust in the major parties but there are many independents and minor parties in the upper house that more closely match my ideals and anything we can do to avoid the Government having a majority in both houses helps hold them in check.

I am Malcolm and I approve.

We are so far away from 3rd world.

Don't think he will be as extreme this time around. He's a bloke who learns from his mistakes. The only issue is as you say we have a leadership vacuum. Whenever that happens governments get lazy

Shorten "not much better"? He's not even close to being even, let alone being any better.

Not right now BUT what happens when all the minerals have been dug up and sold. Our manufacturing industry is non existant now. I would love to see a bloke step forward and really take charge. If it is to be Turnball, great but I can't see it at the moment.

Hey I don't like him either but on disclosed form as a PM he needs to be tried out. Both are surely better than the self confessed liar who was recently deposed. On that we can agree.

From someone born in a corrupt and dysfunctional place, we are still a great nation,
We've just lost our way a little, but we will get it back! Here is hoping Malcolm will be different, and can silence those extreme parts of the Liberals and The ALP can rediscover it's purpose! Lol
Now back the AFL talk lol
