Can't even see where this official Ah Chee announcement is. If it's from that dodgy Facebook page, don't believe it.

Who cares - we need to get active.

The way things are going we will be standing still whilst other teams move past us as they improve their list with ready made 2017 players.

Yep, I would have thought being active also includes trading out players such as Ah Chee :drunk:

Fremantle would be stoked with that deal.

Day 2 mate we have no fecking idea what's going on behind closed doors in reality

Good to see all this activity and crickets at PAFC

I feel I'm repeating myself, but that trade just now is officially the first one completed.

All the brouhaha from yesterday has added up to 4/5ths of diddly squat. 16 clubs have traded as much as we have.

Freo look to have done very well out of that trade.

Re Gibbs, I'm with Byrons Firen, I don't want the sniping campaigner, or his smarmy old man, anywhere near Alberton.

As for him wanting out of his blue bagger contract when it still has 3 years to run?
I thought he said something along the lines of wanting to be a one club player when he signed the extension, so unless there is some serious family issue that hasn't been made public, the wanting to go home now bit sounds a bit sus.

We don't have much of value to offer, unless you want to get rid of our first draft pick.
Just accept improvement has to come from gameplan/attitude/etc and move on to next year.

This, from the Melbourne Age.

Ah Chee wants out at Port

Fringe Port Adelaide midfielder Brendon Ah Chee wants to leave the Power if he can get further opportunities at another club, despite being contracted to Port in 2017.

The Age obviously knows something we do not,

They have read facebook.

Probably accurate though.

Funny, I thought he only got a one year contract last year, and Sam Gray got a 2 year one.

Gillon McLachlan was good talking about trade hysteria on AFL360 22 Sept (I think). You can hunt it up on YouTube if you wish. Basically said the vast amount of 'in the know' trade talk is just speculation and that very few players actually get traded. Especially compared to all the names thrown up. There's more but I'm trying to stay relevant to the thread and to your post.

We need to deal more with GWS.
Yeah Hombsch was a bargain from there. They have so many picks and academy players to get on top of those, they don't spend all week being idiots to get a slight benefit at the cost of other potential trades. We want picks, but have bugger all to offer (that will go).

Think GWS may have done better out of this than a lot of people think.

Get a top 3 pick for a player that hasn't played for a year and had no intention of ever pulling on their jersey again. Definitely fills a need for Freo but not too bad for the Giants either. When you look at their list, they definitely know what they are doing.

i thought he was out of contract

Yeah thats a ripper deal for GWS. they've still have 3 first rounders and if you believe the scouts they will walk away with 3 top 10 picks. 1 from anywhere with 3 and 2 Upgrades through their academy.
