Looks like GC hold a grudge re Dixon. They will start passing art about pick 35 so to offer us 66 is just saying "fu€¥ you". I say keep Arch and target little Arch hard.

With twin Arches we could open a McDonalds.
Except the way we are developing players we would end up with McDowells

Would have loved Mitchell or Lewis to come in and shake it up a bit. Atleast they win when they snipe opposition.

This is embarrasing..

Is everyone on holidays or something?

So much for change.

Besides trading picks for picks most clubs haven't completed trades yet.

Given most of the players we are looking to trade haven't expressed public interest in a specific club (or being traded at all) I'm sure we are just being diligent and hoping to negotiate better deals closer to the deadline.

What would be embarrassing is taking the first offer that comes our way.

Random club on day 1: Lobbe for a future 8th rounder?
Us: Done!

Hinkley post Sydney game

“We go to list-management (and the trade market) looking for ways to strengthen our list — but every club does that,” Hinkley said. “And that is not just as a result of what was seen against Sydney.

“We will go (to the trade talks) looking to strengthen our list when we get those opportunities. What they look like today, I probably can’t tell you. There is always change — and there needs to be.

“If we say we’re OK with that, we will get what we get. So we will be as aggressive as we can (in the market) to make us better.”

So we will be as aggressive as we can when we get an opportunity. This doesn't mean we will force players and other clubs into trades.

sliding doors
obviously Barrett had nothing else to say - so recycled the same shit as usual

there's one club we're really concerned about from a 2017 perspective ... ... it is this one. Still shake our heads at how close it was in 2014, only to crack badly in the past two seasons.

Hate the campaigner, but he is right.

It's okay, we've got a top 4 list so we don't need to trade to get into the draft this season.

Trade Radio: Crers Premiership year 2017 derp derp derp. I shall save this in the recesses of my mind. If they don't win a Premiership next year with all the crers love and hysteria then massive fail crers. Plus if we can't offload Lobbe then who loses their job at Port? I like the bloke and his work ethic but it is sounding more and more like a massive error.

Not sure why some here are in panic mode. Week 1 of trading is generally just clubs meeting each other and getting nothing done. This year is going to script.

We dont know what is happening behind the scenes.

Maybe come back next Wednesday and start following the trades. It is always the last 2-3 days that official trades happen.

And I'm not sure what some here want the club to do. Should they just say Westhoff, Hartlett, Amon, O'Shea, lobbe and ahchee will definitely not be playing for us next year?

I'm just waiting for next week. Less stress.

And I'd actually prefer if we load up on picks next year if possible to find some good tall players.
