After this year trading with academy clubs will have to start taking on a new dimension. Last year we got Charlie Dixon from GC for the 2015 first pick and this years second-rounder. Now it appears unlikely they will use the second-rounder. This is likely a one-off in the case of the Prestia and JOM deals going down but it does raise an interesting point. Why trade something to them if they will not use it?

my guess is that they did it with an agreement in place for another trade to happen. potentially involving JoM. that other trade has fallen through and port now have egg on their face

My understanding is that Dixon had "loose ankle joints in both feet" which he was put on a special exercise program by Burgo to strengthen. JOM ruptured his patella tendon. Not really comparable.

We needed a well damaged knee to collect the full set of joints.

Speaking of list manglement, now that Bobby has retired, did anyone have a decent hip cleanout in the off season? Toumpas?
