Apparently he had some good offers last year. Wouldn't surprise me to see him offered up for trade.
Silvagni will retire at seasons end.

Almost. Forgot the most likely scenario... re-injure himself. So retain/trade/retire that just about covers it.
He'll probably king hit an Eagle this weekend and get suspended for six weeks.Almost. Forgot the most likely scenario... re-injure himself.

I've heard six of our players are leaving to join the circus at the end of the season. Ibbotson the tightrope walker, Spurr on the trapeze, Sutcliffe the knife thrower, Ballas the lion tamer, Dawson in a slapstick clown/strong man double act, and Blakely the bearded lady.
Apparently West Coast are also losing Shuey as a low diver, and Darling as an acrobat/limbo champion.
of all that list. Pav, Mzungu and Mayne are certainly gone. I for one will be dissapointed if clancee pearce is gone as i like him.For me I have it something like this
Pavlich - Retire
De Boer - Delist / Unrestricted Free Agent (Don't Sign)
C. Pearce - Sign / Unrestricted Free Agent (Don't Sign)
Silvagni - Trade
Hannath - Sign / Trade
Mzungu - Delist
Apeness - Sign
Clarke - Unrestricted Free Agent (Don't Sign)
Barlow - Sign
Mayne - Unrestricted Free Agent (Don't Sign)
Langdon - Sign / Trade
Grey - Sign
Hurley - Sign (Upgrade)
Morabito - Sign
I think that we need to draft a new Ruck. Play Sandi, Griff and a pinch hitting Apeness or Smith whilst the youngster comes on. I realise that we would need to cover three years not 1 but I would rather get young fresh talent in than persist with Clarke who is on the wrong side of 25. In this scenario holding onto Hannath makes sense and I regard it as more than likely.
Of the 14 listed players above I regard it as unlikely to move more than 6 there just isn't the depth in this years draft. Consequently the above list has more resigns than many others. The down side is that most of the "cut" players are UFA so that limits us at the trade table. For this reason I regard the chances of trading Langdon as high.
Last year everyone was saying that this draft was a strong one when comparing the two so i'm not sure about it being weak.As crap as we are now. It would be stupid to cut 8-9 players in the main squad like in 2008. This draft isnt a strong draft.
I don't agree with delisting Grey, the kid has got plenty of heart and courage, there's a lot more improvement to be had. I'd definitely keep himFor me I have it something like this
(1) Pavlich - Retire
(2) De Boer - UFA / Delist
C. Pearce - Sign / UFA (Don't Sign)
(3) Silvagni - Trade / Delist
(4) Hannath - Trade / Delist
(5) Mzungu - Delist
Apeness - Already signed
Clarke - Sign (ony cos we are desperate)
Barlow - Sign / Trade
(6) Mayne - Unrestricted Free Agent (Don't Sign)
(7) Langdon - Sign / Trade (sounds like he is gone)
(8) Grey - Delist
(9) Morabito - Sign / Delist (sounds like he is gone)
(10) Ballantyne - Trade
(11) Suban - Trade (while he has trade value)
That makes 11 maybe a couple more if Clarke and Clancee get sent packing. Langdon is the only one I'd be disappointed about losing. If the price was there I would trade Barlow as well.
Getting a KPP early (Marshall) and a ruck prospect later works. There seems to be decent midfield talent until quite late in the draft. I also like some of the running defenders with decent disposal. Quite happy to bat deep in this draft.Last year everyone was saying that this draft was a strong one when comparing the two so i'm not sure about it being weak.
I think this years draft is strong for midfielders and weaker on KPP talent but its probably no weaker then any other draft.
Isnt grey best mates with alex pearce? They were recruited from the same club in tassie.I don't agree with delisting Grey, the kid has got plenty of heart and courage, there's a lot more improvement to be had. I'd definitely keep him
Imagine getting marshall at pick 3 then trade our 2017 second rounder to get mccarthy then get mason shaw and darcy cameron as later picks?Getting a KPP early (Marshall) and a ruck prospect later works. how many forwards do we need?
. But seriously, if we assumed we had the right balance on the list now, in terms of forwards out and in, some rough ideas below:If you saw Mason Shaw play you wouldnt be putting his name up. I saw him play against Swans and South a couple of weeks ago and for a guy who was in the system at Port for 3 years albeit he had injury interrupted years he doesn't look or play like a AFL prospect. We would be far better considering getting Tim English to develop as Sandi's replacement in a couple of years. By the way in todays game Peel v Claremont Sam Collins totally shut Cameron out of the game.Isnt grey best mates with alex pearce? They were recruited from the same club in tassie.

I heard that Silvagni is in partnership with Morabito and Morabito's girlfriend in some sort of insurance business. That's why Morabito is retiring at the end of the season and going to Sydney for a job, to do with business and Silvagni is also going with him and he will also be gone at seasons end.
