¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It might be worth trading Grigg and Lyons and retaining cey. Lyons has more trade value but I think that cey could still end up the better player.
The pathetic thing about the AFC, is why CEY wasnt given more opportunities to prove his value to the AFC.

Thommo struggled in a lot of games last season, there was opportunities to give him a good extended break and trial CEY for a string of games. Not just 2 disjointed games for the entire year. Should have played 3 games straight at least when we played Ess, Lions and Freo.

Was it Nobe's revolutionary moneyball system which kept Thommo, Mackay, and Douglas in the team? Time will tell..

Will be talking about Adelaide next on Trade Radio
How do you get that thing working on the AFL mobile app? The Trade Hub page says "To listen to trade radio, tap the <headphones> icon above". But there is no headphones icon that I can see? Link on the website doesn't seem to work on mobile, either :|

In famous Adel FC words, "Try tell Thommo he's not playing"

I hate the red carpet for ANY event ... but some people love 'em. Some love watching it, some love being on it. You can check as far back as you like, and people are being judged against some "standard" for how they look.

I personally don't have a problem with the practice of rating someone's looks, what I want my girls to understand is that is counts for nothing. Some bloke saying you are a "3" for looks is really more of an indicator of his personality than anything else. I don't spend much time with my girls telling them how to control others behaviour - more time is spent making sure they understand that they have all the power as to how they feel about something.

"Hollywood Shallow" will always be around. A beautiful woman / man walks into the room ... there aren't many situations where that doesn't cause attention to turn.

As far as Rocky goes, it is funny that we scream when he judges someone in a rude and unfair way ... but we are happy to call out every part of his life without really knowing anything about him. We call footballers soft / gutless / useless / moron and much worse things than 3/10. It's funny when someone makes fun of Ling's looks, or someone comes back from off-season fat etc...

Mistake was that Rockliff didn't seem to understand that saying it publicly was a bad idea, I think we should forgive him that and move along.

PS - oh yeah, I checked with my wife and apparently I am a 10 - which really surprised me. I mean what are the chances of two 10s meeting and getting married ??? Amaze-balls.
top post. also your wife thinks i'm a 10 as well, maybe she's a bit liberal with her ratings? ;)

tl;dr = we're a midfielder short

You do realise that it's only the outcry that gives these throw-away lines any power, dont you?

*lights fire, runs away :bomb:
Saying nothing is why people still think that it's ok to say these things. It's not. Time that people started thinking before opening their mouths. What you say has consequences.

I HATE the red carpet. It continues this demeaning "ranking" behaviour (again, from both sides). That the women fall over themselves to be seen on it in barely anything, is another topic again. Brownlow night should be about the players... the fairest and best (at football). I saw a terrific interview by a feminazi (not that I like feminazi's, just that I liked her interviews) - she was asking the partners what their latest career challenge was. No mention of who dressed them or how long it took them to get ready.

The world is just so fricking "hollywood" shallow, it's sad.
Totally agree. I hate it.

So, right up the Carlton CEO's alley then?
Really get sick of this. For the record - it wasn't Trigg that agreed to the deal. He failed to adequately fix it once it was discovered. It was John Reid - you know, the father of the guy currently responsible for negotiating contracts for the AFC.

so let me get this right... if rumblings are true, Thommo becomes an emergency only, Lyons gone, Henderson gone, CEY gone, Grigg gone...
that's two full time midfielders, our next in line and a depth player gone... no ins (as yet) just unsubstantiated rumours. There HAS to be a pretty solid plan in place or next year will be one of great disappointment for us.

Who is actually likely to come in?

Don't all contracts need higher approval or is that only something we do since that debacle?
