Alluding to their era of dominance when they wouldn't lose in the seniors and they didn't have a 19s
I notice Balwyn in the EFL also dropped their under 19's this year as well, maybe points salary cap has made Heidelberg go down the old money path again. Personally I'm not a fan of it, its exactly the reason why points and salary cap are coming in across the state. I understand Heidelberg are playing within the rules like they did in the past however, I think the NFL has moved on from the 'most money wins the flag' days hopefully, the clubs decide to lower the points to less than 40 within a few years

A mate from lower informed me that monty sold beers from their own bar during the seniors and had their stupid little quad bike set up next to the playground. If true that is ******* ridiculous. Can u confirm brutal?

interesting report that one, obviously you are being taken for a fool hoping you will spread it it around without checking, I guess your "mate" knows how to wind you up. Fact 1 : The quad bike you mention was stolen from the club 2 seasons ago and hasn't been replaced. Fact 2: from the top: the club was asked to support lower in this time of great emotion and loss and asked to stay at lower twice as long as you normally would. The players had a minimum 20 minutes imposed on them regardless of commitments. The bar was definitely not open during the game.

It might also be that they had a lack of numbers for their under 19's as if you check there junior side the also had problems getting an under 17 side .I am not sticking up for Heidelberg, but they are not the only side in the NFL not fielding under 19s it is a common problem across all league's with under 18/19 teams

I checked with some people from the club last night. Seems there was grog being sold by a group of Mont supporters without the knowledge of the hierarchy. The pres and vp both apologised and reinforced that the bar was not open. The offending supporters were confronted and told what was thought of their actions on 2 occasions by LPFC officials. Seems they do the same at Mont home games as well according to their spokesperson.

They are the only Div 1 side without under 19's. You'd think one of the NFL powerhouses would be able to maintain an under 19's team.

So I think that's a whole week on HFC U19s, what's on for next week ? Their goalpost pads don't seem to be as thick as others, does that give them some sort of advantage,or is that flash scoreboard just there to distract their opponents. Can't what to read the insightful football analysis that some of the dickheads on here come up with.

The lights in the away rooms are too bright and in harms the oppositions eyes before they run out to play

Sorry boys. We all must of missed the memo where we weren't allowed to discuss things apart from senior football on this thread. We sincerely apologise.

What happened to that old rule that said, all div 1 teams had to field thirds? Probably from the old DVFL days, but I think if your going to play in the top division then not too much to expect.

See what I mean about dickheads, three of them just like that. Brutal, you won't have to worry about first div rules for much longer will you.

I thought it was a fair question. I was told by a former official, that in the past it was a rule that was never enforced. Maybe those past officials were encouraged to ignore it;)
