No, but I'd like it to return to just the matches on the day.

It dilutes the occasion having it spread out across the weekend, and the ones not held on the actual day don't have the same feel to them.

I would take the Friday night Game every time. And to be Honest a Showdown would be the best game to highlight the spirit of the ANZAC's at least it would be better than today game. As long as the Crows get a turn to Host.
Rucci article was good but he also defends Ports right to ANZAC weekend games and some believe Port have the right for a Home ANZAC weekend game
I would love a Home Game on ANZAC weekend.

He's played the last 2-3 weeks in the VFL. Wasn't he dropped for being crap, not injured? I know he later hurt his ankle a bit in the VFL, but that's not what caused him to be dropped from the main side I don't think.

What Ruckman who has retired in the last two seasons (as per the rules Essendon had for top ups) would make a difference at Port right now? Bear in mind Jamar was already coaching at Essendon and is yet to play for them this year.

The top up debate was Kochie grandstanding. The reality is that the player they would have got had been passed over by all 18 clubs at each of the drafts and if he played a game Port would be in trouble anyway.

That was kochie giving them an out. He is a very clever operator, seeding talking points like that. Remember when all the port supporters were up in arms over gray not getting a brownlow, after kochie making them think he was a chance a few days earlier?

Funny looking at the Port thread discussing trades. They are ****ed.

They have so many players on long term expensive contracts, they are at 100% of their cap, they've traded away their last 3 first round picks and this years second which should be a reasonable pick.

How are they going to trade? No one will want their players on long term deals or their spuds and if they do they will get them for free like Moore and Newton.

The myth around Port and Hinkley has been shattered so they are now not attractive as a destination.

The AFL better not give them salary cap relief.

He was involved in the Paul Seedsman trade. Basically got him for a 3 pick downgrade and a bunch of later picks.

Adelaide received Seedsman and gave up pick No.32;
- Collingwood received Howe and pick No.68 and gave up Seedsman and Kennedy;
- Melbourne received Kennedy and picks No.29 and 50 and gave up Howe and Toumpas;
- Port Adelaide received Toumpas and pick No.32 and gave up picks No.29, 50 and 68;

Pick 32 ended up being pushed down to 37 for Riley Boner.

They will, of course they will. The AFL owns them now and twisting some rules now will be cheaper than bailing them out when they massively in debt due to consecutive bottom finishes.
