Happens all the time, drives me nuts, player gets tackled, ball drops to the ground, tackled player didn't handball or kick it, play on. AAARRRGGGH

The AFL don't care as long as the ball keeps moving.

You could be physically courageous and win the ball, hold your ground in a tackle like you're taught to do as a kid, but if your opponent holds the ball to your chest you're pinged.

"Held it in, made no attempt"

But win an easy ball, get tackled and either throw or drop the ball, and it's called play on.

"Play on, ball is out, play on!"

I was actually complimenting your football club .
Huge fan of McGovern he's going to be something special
I know I was doing the same.
I appreciate those guys being at our club.

I'm a fan of Bolton hopefully the media don't eat him alive. I think he could do good things for your club.

If you are running toward where the Umpire spots the mark bouncing the ball, surely thats play on.

It's not a choice. Each State gets to do it once except Vic's who do it twice coz Victoria.

If we hosted s home game, we'd do it.

Well each state outside of Vic only gets 1 game anyway.

There was 5 in Victoria this weekend and I believe only 1 outside today had any pre-game celebration.

Gee this is embarrassing. This is what it looks like when a team who has something to prove plays Essendon.

If you go flat out this will be the result.

If it's not on ANZAC Day it's just another home game, and as such should be treated that way.

Don't disagree with you but would love to see our club given the privilege of playing in this game.

Therefore, I can not see the AFL removing these 2 teams and having a ANZAC Day celebration for each game is the next best thing.

Lmao at Sandy saying "it was surprising" that the lead was 76 points. Not surprising to anyone with half a brain, FFS.

Bit unfair considering how Collingwood have played this season. Don't think anyone apart from Collingwood supporters could have seen this.

Collingwood have been hopeless this season or the talk to fire Buckley would be pointless.

Choice by the home club.

Hawthorn clearly opted not to do it. Play on

If we ever have a home game in ANZAC round, I hope we make the same call and say no pre-game hullabaloo.

No I for one would like the Crows playing and ANZAC round and standing for the Anthem and minute silence, After all, being ex military I understand ANZAC day is not 1 day The Weekend should honour the ANZAC,s . That one day is for the Dawn service, and maybe 1 -2 games of Football in the Afternoon.
Remember several Communities have the marches/parades a week before, the are several organisations that have there Dinners on the Saturday night and if ANZAC day fall on Sat have it on Friday night.

Thanks for the headsup but if he keeps playing with that kind of passion I'll gladly take a few mistakes here and there :thumbsu:
Wright was pretty good for us between '12-14 when he got midfield minutes. Issue was we were (still are) pretty slow in the middle and guys like M.Crouch/CEY/Lyons moved ahead of him so he got pushed forwards in a defensive, team oriented type role, which he wasn't great at. So it's not a surprise he is doing well with more opportunity at Carlton, like with Kerridge, those opportunities probably wouldn't have been available had they both stayed with us. Wright would have been on our rookie list and Kedge on a 1 year deal, so it's great to see they're both going to prolong their careers at the Blues because they both tried their guts out while they were here and deserve to have good careers.
