I would undertake capital expenditure on a property I was leasing, if there was security around the length of the lease. But I'm not expecting the lease to be free.

Look - a lot of AFL teams would have sweet deals with local councils (there is no mother reason you would train in Seaford), but that doesn't mean it's not an advantageous deal for us.

No, it's because it's being sold as a single parcel so is too expensive for interested parties. There's lots of interest from Australians in purchasing individual portions of it. It's not a single homestead controlling the entire land area, it's many stations and it could easily be divided into economically sound smaller parcels.

I know very little about this but reading between the line, I get the impression the port power deal was a bit of sweetener to butter a few people up.

Bit like, look what I have done for your famous club, now look that way whiles I make a bucket load of money and take it back to Beijing.

Wouldn't surprise me if Port never see a cent of that money and the game next year is canned now.

Wouldn't have thought so. Cattle has successfully been run in the most remote parts of Australia for over a hundred years. They know how many they can run with the expected available feed. They would only find themselves in trouble of prices crashed or an unexpected impediment got between them and their market. Most of the water is very reliable from what I understand.

Thank you again. My relies are grain farmers and don't rely as much on livestock. I'd imagine it would be hard and arid land and feed would be an expense that is variable as the water.
