Nahh , pear are shitDid anybody listen to Fiveaa this afternoon.
I had it on for 10 minutes in the car tonight. (I did say a while back I won't listen to Kornes but did)
Anyway they had the whole feel good Friday.
Adelaide Crows pledges 5 grand for Sam Willoughby and his recovery and said Port Adelaide ball is in your court now.
Anyway Port waited till the last possible moment to put money up (apparently they were in a meeting) I'm not sure why there was a time limit.
Anyway they have pledged a corporate box to go up for auction on Fiveaa valued at 10 to 12 grand for the year.
Now can anyone please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it right that they do not sell out their corporate boxes? Therefore they aren't foregoing any money at all?
Tell me if I'm being petty.

There are guys that use Instagram, have 'man buns' and say the word 'foodie' that don't even look remotely dorky compared to that photo of Jobe Watson in that stupid arse cap..
Why is 'feminism' written on the inside of the brim?
Thought they said valued at 6 grand but being auctioned so what exactly are they handing over? Thought it was a bit piss weak. Just put your hand in your pocket, why make some poor shmuck sit through 11 games of shite in the process?Did anybody listen to Fiveaa this afternoon.

I just love that Danger is playing a great game in a team getting flogged. With the bullshit, and I do think it was bullshit, that him staying was about "success", I hope it dawns on him that we were a genuine crack for he flag with him in a Crows jumper. I honestly believe that had he stayed, we could have won it as midfield is our weakness.
He has chosen a Geelong team who are almost certainly on the wane, and honestly I think that with our emerging talent, we are closer than they are to achieving premiership glory.
He is such a big head, and it's a shame that the good players almost dictate their own terms and that our premiership chances are so strongly influenced by the choices of these players who believe that they are bigger than any club.
I'm no fan of the Tip Rat. But he never said it was about success. Danger did, and so I hope he never, ever achieves that.
No. you're exactly right.Yes i think it was.
That's the thing. At first Bicks and Rowie said it was worth 5-6 Grand then someone from Port Adelaide Calls back and says actually mate try 10-12 grand. Like they are big noting themselves giving something up worth that much.
Port don't sell these out for the year though do they? Their corporate packages never sell out? It's one of their clubs big down falls in regards to profit? But the average supporter would have no idea and think wow Port doing good again showing up the crows. Stick it up em!
Am I wrong?
They give them away every year as raffle prizes, I know a bloke who won one of them last year. Cost him a fortune in food and drinks, he hated it by the end of the year.No. you're exactly right.
Why don't they just stump up the cash?

Yes that's another thing they said doesn't include food and drink. They give them away every year as raffle prizes, I know a bloke who won one of them last year. Cost him a fortune in food and drinks, he hated it by the end of the year.

Agree with a lot of this but I wouldn't call those 3 recruits busts. So I wonder where this leaves Geelong, was tonight their last chance for a while to make a grand final ?
Some Geelong supporters are claiming that they will apparently be better in 2017 though I am not sure how that is possible. They brought in Zac Smith, Lachie Henderson and Scott Selwood (all have been mediocre at their past clubs) all of who failed to fire a shot tonight.
They are over reliant on an old defense unit; Bartel (who's legs are clearly shot), Mackie (now a liability), Enright (looks like he's retiring), Lonergan (33 next year and was pantsed early by Buddy) and Harry Taylor (also on his last legs).
Their forward line is an issue, Hawkins is 28 going on 34, Mitch Clarke was a bust and Motlop is up for trade.
I would imagine that without an easy draw next year, they won't be finishing anywhere near top 4 in 2017.
