Do you want to know the truth?

Hartlett will not be staying at port because Boak pulled a wayne carey on him.

And no, that's not a joke. Very good source.
I don't pretend to know the truth or lie to that rumour. Was watching our inside footy 2016 documentary
and noticed they we're doing their warm ups with each other. Didn't look like a "you shagged my mrs" situation to me but who knows.

Maybe in time (or an autobiography) we'll know for sure.

You're probably right.
Remains to be seen wether they'd even be interested in someone like Lennon.
Kid has always seemed like a prima donna to me.
If we can secure Hartlett and Prestia and keep pick 6, I'd say that's a massive off-season win for the club.
I'd still be exploring every avenue to get Mitchell before Hartlett.

A late first round is what most clubs would rate Hartletts worth. If Lennon doesn't want to play for the jumper then he can go in my opinion. So trading him away and our first for two solid mids seems our best option at the moment. We are crying out for midfield depth.
Okay, i just don't rate him, 185cm on big coin who is tough but no ball magnet, 26 years old, would rather look for better return for Lennon & next years first.

Deledio & 42 to Suns for Prestia and 24
Deledio contracted and Suns have stated they want mature players rather than picks so Deledio and our 3rd for Prestia and original 2nd back.

Vickery to Hawthorn for pick 25 compo
Reported the deal is agreed to so hopefully it gets us 25.

Conca to Swans for Nankervis
Some chatter today that this might be in the mix. Conca wouldn't be on big money given last 2 years and Swans would back themselves to get him back to playing good footy.

Lennon to Carlton for 23
No basis for this except they were keen last year so explore it again.

Edwards to Port for Hartlett
Port in a bind because of salary cap and big contract. Hartlett is 26, Titch turns 28 at end of month so for mine a straight swap between the 2 or Port can keep Hartlett. Tell them we'll take his contract on in full rather than them having to pay any.

6 to Swans for Mitchell & 17
Nothing more than a wish type of trade. If Hawthorn can get a deal done and Sydney can't up their reported $320k a year offer, then swoop in late with pick 6 and decent coin for Mitchell with Swans first round pick coming back as well. If not we keep 6 and head to the draft

Out: Deledio Vickery Conca Lennon Edwards 6 & 42.
In: Prestia Nankervis Hartlett Mitchell 17 23 24 & 25.

Pull something like that off and the haters in the media would be pissed big time.

hate them all
Taking into consideration that Prestia is going and GC will want to get something for him, whilst also taking into account that due to the offer he has from RFC, we would get him in the preseason draft, I think all it will take is a player, like Lennon, Conca, B Ellis, Edwards, Miles and our 3rd round pick.
no chance here, Essendoom will nab him with pick 1 in the PSD

I like a lot of that, only question from me is why wouldn't you offer B Ellis, or Miles to GC instead of Deledio. That would be enough to get it done, although we might not get 24 back, but you'd rather have Deledio than a speculative second rounder. Also very little chance Deledio will agree to go to GC.

I thought Sydney still got some cap concession due to something about players with exiting contracts not being disadvantaged ie. Buddy.
I think they did but I believe the ban they had on trading last year was designed to bring their cap into line somewhat which allows the move to a equal cap

These trades are unrealistic.

Deledio for Prestia is unrealistical, let alone a pick upgrade thrown in. GC have no use for a 30 year old Lids.

And Mitchell for an 11 pick downgrade is not happening either.
