Coffield is a jet. So composed and skilled.

Constable looks pretty good too.

Where does Sutherland land if he nominates? Looks like the type we could use.
Coffield does look like he has what it takes to be a very very good inside mid that just has the time to asses the situation, Similar to pendles - time stands still when he has the ball.

If we keep our picks 2 of Coffield,Hayes,Balta would be nice

Looks like it is shaping up for a very good year for KPP's especially KPD's. With 2 first round draft picks we can really lock in our KPP stocks for the future.

How deep is this draft? Starting to see the rewards of the 2014 draft with a few of years of development.
Menadue, Butler, Short, Castagna, Lambert all best 22 at the moment with Drummond and C.Ellis challenging when fit.

Constable would be a good fit, another big bodied inside mid. We still need more depth in that area imo.
Then a KPP such as Aaron Naughton with our other first (assuming we don't trade them).

Well Coffield and Constable were high on my list - but reckon they'll end up in the top 10. Petruccelle, L.Fogarty and Balta the three I'm eyeing off. None of the other KPD are first round quality. I like Nathan Kreuger and he's another I'd keep an eye on.

Maybe Brander slips outside top 10 - who knows.

Hey Bishop,

What are your thoughts on Oscar Allen? Also where do you think Patmore, Ainsworth and Xerri get taken if? (If they get drafted)

Surely we need to look at trading our 2 picks to get Sutherland

Yeah like Oscar Allen - 191cm makes it interesting, but he's one I could easily add to that list.

Patmore late/rookie, doesn't do the 1%ers and defend.

Ainsworth rookie-undrafted - one of the lower kicking efficiency's in the U18 Champs (52%), as a 19 yr old doesn't scream a lot 'Draft me'

Xerri late/rookie - In the same basket as maybe De Koning, but I wouldn't suggest he's good enough. For me if tall fwds aren't top 20 - don't waste your picks on them.

Can anyone tell me a little about Tom De Koning? KPP and moves very nicely from the little I saw of him. I know he kicked 9 in a TAC game as an under ager. Anyone seen him in action.

'For me, the strike rate for talls who succeed drafted outside the top 20 is very low. Either he's very good or not good enough. I put De Koning in the not good enough basket, dominated last year in the TAC Cup when standard was as weak as it was all season. Has struggled this year.'

What position is Balta best suited?

Who was the young mid on 360 last night... like the way he moved and carried himself well last night

Naish playing off halback good skills run and carry ,soft at the contest about the only negative .
Leading possession getter on the ground 16 at half time .

Coffield 29
Naish 26
Constable 26
Allies by 3 points
Under whelming game None of the talls are anywhere near as good as Josh Schache at the same age .

I wonder if Sutherland could end up around our mark in the 1st? Hasn't set the world on fire really...

Brayshaw is another I like. Injuries might see him slip down the order

I am seeing a bit of talent in the U18 champs. I actually seem to think there is a bit of skill being shown in glimpses of these U18 champs, not sure how many are bottom ages but I think there should be enough talent to last the top 20-30 at least

I am totally happy getting Nick Riewoldt and Luke Hodge end of year via UFA. Throw in Hansen as a cheapie UFA and we can easily go best available in the draft this year for the first 2 picks plus Naish.

Hodge can help develop any taller mids we might get in a coaching capacity to which he seems he likes to embrace lately on field.

Without seeing too much the disposals skills of the U18 champs I have glanced at seem good in general

I like Rankin for SA in particular but I think he might be 2018 draft

If the Lions get a Priority Pick (pick 2)

Pick 2 for 15 and 16.

Lions take Rayner at 1.

We bid on Ballenden at 2. (2517 points.)

Lions match (20% discount = 2013 points.) Use picks 15 and 16 (2179 points) get Ballenden and pick 59 in return.

We then take a KPP at 3. (Sutherland or Hayes.)

Means we can use pur later picks for Naish.

Why would we screw Brisbane by bidding on Balladen when they are being so nice to us giving us pick 2 for pcik 15 + 16?

Good young kid at willy ATM Lachlan Shultz would be a very handy rookie or may even get drafted, only 19yrs old very tough forward/mid strong overhead good skills
