Interesting that in the club video they said 2 weeks for Edwards but it's up to 6 weeks on this report

Hope it's only 2

There was talk on the radio about elevating a rookie to cover Griff, who may be out for now than just the one week.
I thought that could only happen if a player went on the LTI list, or is there a special rule for forced concussion break?

we have room to elevate rookie's, we just havent decided to do it yet. The deadline just exists for the week that the Rookie will debut, all the talk is just to do with structurally, we may need the rookie

I shouldn't be surprised, but I am. Just how much can change in one week in terms of injuries......BUMMER!

LTI players: Yarran, Hampson, Graham and Broad
Castagna elevated for Yarran. So if we wished, we could elevate 3 others. Chol, Stengle, Moore and Soldo are the ones that have this chance.

Vlastuin & Edwards are the only real concerns on that list, all the others are struggling to be depth except drummond & Graham who are just kids and not required until next year. Griffiths is becoming a concern

Nup, season is over, 10 week return is impossible once you have surgery for a lisfranc injury.

it'd be 6-8 weeks before he can put any weight on it, let alone start regaining fitness and running on it. Pity for poor Conc's that he just cannot get a run of it. He was in career best form and a bonus for us this year.

Exactly right I went through the process in 2015. 6 weeks on crutches and no weight wearing, then for the next 6 weeks you can begin to weight bear on the foot but stay on the crutches and moon boot for about 3 of those weeks. Then walk around for the other 3 in the moonboot. At the 12 week mark you're out of the boot, back in normal footwear but there's zero calf strength and it's like learning to walk again. Foot continues to swell and doesn't die down for about 3-4 months. Then rehab getting mobility back. My screws and plate came out 6-7 months after surgery.

AFL players probably fast track it, but eh. Ambitious injury time period for poor Conca.
