Just needs some sunnies, then I'll probably mistaken him for Jeff Lynne.

Not...

Bloody Hell. [emoji35]

Of course we aren't happy where we are but we are on the right path both on and off the field and have improved a lot in the last 2 years.

Don't people remember the past 20 years? Quick fixes, mismanagement etc

Signs are extremely positive. We just need to maintain the path and we will be fine. Thank goodness the right people are in charge and not some people on here. Patience
I agree with you but if we have some bad luck with pick 3 like Melbourne did with Trengove then we are in a pretty shit position. Also you only have to look at the good teams ATM. None have really gone down the path we are (GWS I don't count) and both Richmond and Geelong did go for quick fixes. The point I'm trying to make is that not being flexible is ridiculous.

I don't want to see Wright, Pickett, Lamb, Sumner, Gallucci, LeBois (hasn't fired a shot), could
even add Boekhorst and Buckley as multiple small forwards clogging up the list, and have no
developing rucks.

Don't worry. Pickett will be tearing it up through the midfield. I think ppl are judging Pickett harshly for not having done much yet, while forgetting that he has been injured most of his career.

If any of our other youngsters performed like Pickett has in his first 10 games, we'd be talking them up massively (which is what I'm doing with Pickett).

He actually reminds me of a young G Ablett Jnr or even a young Dusty. I think he's going to be elite, and I think his performances point to that as well. Those sweet, sweet hips ... and those wonderful dancing feet

The first three are hardly "clogging up the list" surely??

As for the rest - time will tell - SOS hasn't shown sympathy for list cloggers.
As for the tall guy from WA- it is enough to know that Carlton has invited him to the pre-party to understand what the intention or option is - no need for debate - he is rated enough by Carlton to get more than a mention.

How can people be questioning LeBois? I mean seriously, kids a star, isn't it obvious

I sense that you are going to feel some disappointment in the future mate, the way you pump up these kids. They aren't all going to make it mate. I get the feeling that sometimes when you talk about them it appears that you think its almost a foregone conclusion. I like the positivity but it just isn't realistic IMO that they will all make it.

Both Richmond and especially Geelong brought a main core of players through together, while trading for shortfalls. If we do miss with an early pick along the way, it will not hamper the rebuild

I just see him as another Phillips, and Sauce had a bigger base to work from. He's got a lot of catching up to do to be an AFL ruck.

I think we'll pick him if we wind up picking no one else. Here's some footage:

Barass and MS3 have both suggested he will re-sign imminently, presumably just ironing out performance incentives.

Keep up mate - old news!

We would have been calling them mad if they told us at the end of last year that they could top up for a premiership tilt. This Geelong team has never gone to the draft in the way that we have and like Richmond have just topped up a middle of the road team.
We are going down the nearly exact same route as St Kilda which I think is the right one but they are proving it isn't perfect.

Geelong haven't gone to the draft like us and other sides, due to being in the finals in the last 10 years, only missing in 2015. Last year they took another 6 players in the draft. I rate Wells in the top 3 recruiters over the last 12 years.

As for the Saints, the mistake they have made is not recruiting enough KPP's over the last 6 years, while lacking elite midfielders. We have those KPP options, so unless they trade to fill those holes, we will surpass them soon enough

Along with the Lions, who are 18 months ahead of us, rebuild wise (can make up the ground quickly), sides outside the 8 are no closer to a flag than what we are

My point about Geelong was that it's not a set rule that you have to have a certaint amount of top picks at the draft to rebuild. Same goes for Adelaide.
We are going down a different path which I totally support but it isn't an exact science and it may prove to be the wrong one. That's why I hate the vitriol towards posters who are willing to sway from this route we are taking and do something which is a little off the script that the majority on hear are pushing
