Surprised Greene is only 23. He'd be a great score but I don't see GWS letting him go - he was missed against Saints, and would have won them the game against us if he was slightly more accurate.

Greene?

Can't see it happening, but would be a phenomenal get.

We all love to hate him...but we'd love him in navy blue. Outstanding footballer.

Greene? Hahaha.
Worst kick for goal. Jack Darling levels of spuddiness.

0.5 cost them the game.

Worst kick for goal?

YTD figures of 30.21 and career figures of 108.77 clearly shows otherwise.

Had a bad game against us, but it's strange that you're suggesting its his norm when it very clearly isn't.

Thoughts on the following:

Taylor Duryea (unrestricted) 26 year old
Jasper Pittard (unrestricted) 26 year old

Firstly, I would prefer to continue to nurture our youth as well as going back to the draft. We all know we have saved on TPP over the last two years. Both of the above are free hits, so would it be worthwhile picking up one of these guys on a modest salary and releasing the likes of a Williamson, to the midfield? (Wing)

I've seen more of Pittard than I care to remember. Do not want. He's a turnover merchant. Had one good year in 2016 but either side of that has given Port fans ulcers and conniptions with his indecision, hospital passes and sheer stupidity.

Unless Greene wants to leave, others will probably go first to make space for Greene. He's one of there key players. Amazed if gws lets him go anywhere.

I think they might see him as at his positional peak (ie. not really an outside or clearance mid) and want to open up a spot on the forward line to rotate genuine mids.

In that case, he's probably asking for more money than they want to shell out for that, when they can start dropping kids and mids into the forward unit in place of him. Devon Smith is another.

Isn't the word that Essendon have Pittard pretty much through the door at Windy Hill?

Still over 20 players out of contract at the end of 2017, will really be interesting to see who survives
My expectations currently:

Re-signed: Cuningham, Simpson, Rowe, Sumner, Thomas, Kreuzer, Jones, Buckley
Retained: LeBois
Upgraded: A.Silvagni

Delisted: Boekhorst, Lamb, Jaksch, Armfield, Graham, Gorringe, White
FA: Casboult
Delisted rookies: Gallucci, Korcheck, JGM, Sheehan

I'd be surprised if Palmer, Marchbank and Smedts are uncontracted for 2018, we just don't know what the new contract terms are.

He can play midfield but and at a very high level. He is literally the perfect small forward

Reckon Lamb isn't going anywhere. Has been picked every time he's been fit.

The only things I am confident of, is that Cuningham is re-signed and Simpson will be allowed to go on, if he chooses to do so.

The remaining out of contract players will be up for discussion

I suspect, some have already had their papers stamped

So if Carlton are serious about recruiting then your opinion is right... Ok.
What's Lamb's scope for further development? He's shown no massive jump in fitness in 2 years, meanwhile Sumner is getting better, the kids are coming on in leaps and bounds.

It's the Graham argument all over again, except Lamb's in a position we are overstocked at.

I suggest if Carlton are serious about recruiting then it's down to how well Lamb plays for the rest of the year. Far more important factor than whether or not we get Sicily. Room for both if Lamb shows Sos and co he's worth a contract. Regardless. I don't think it's right to write someone off this early in the year, especially when he's being consistently selected (when fit)

Maybe if the AFL lets players put skates on, Lamb might jump ahead of the pack?

I've written off heaps.

We might be overstock, but there are still 1 or 2 spots up for grabs, in terms of the small pressure forward roll.

I wouldn't put a line through any of Pickett, Lamb, Sumner, Lebois just yet

IMO, Lamb has to bob up as an accumulating winger to survive at this point, and I don't see it happening.

I disagree, I think he is a small forward, that spends some minutes up the ground.

Plus I prefer my wingman to have some height, such as Willo

Sure SOS will make the right call come the end of the year

This is likely to get me howled down as naive but...
Are Rockliff (27), Fyfe (25), and Martin (26) all free agents this year?
How much of our cap are we spending and how much would be freed up and would we have available with the loss of Bryce? Is it a possibility that we could trade Bryce and maybe grab all three?

Trade Bryce for first rounder and ? And walk to the draft with 2-3 first rounders or trade for a power forward?

Be gentle
