Murphy still has a year or two in the midfield . Simpson just needs to be managed . People in here have been saying he is done . He has played fir years on end in a bottom team, week after week, rarely rotated off the bench . He needs the occasional game off and more breaks during the game but can still be a valuable HBF for a year or two yet .

Re:Murphy- yes, but if we can drop him to say 60-70% midfield time / 30-40% forward, he would be more effective because he'd have more gas in the tank and i reckon he'd average at least a goal a game.

I hope he would average close to a goal a game playing as a midfielder alone. Getting only 22 goals from him if he plays nearly half a game forward isn't amazing. Id hope he would get at least 35 for that amount of time forward

I did say at least. Many full time forwards dont AVERAGE more than a goal a game.

I would be hoping he'd get closer to 1.5 buts its not that easy especially with our delivery into f50.

If we could pick up Matera and put Murphy forward. Our forward line would look a lot more dangerous.

Would be happy with getting Kelly. However breaking the bank for him might not be sensible considering Lynch is up for coin next year and Shiel the year later.

If we could walk away from this years trade/draft period with Hopper, Matera, Balic, Rayner and another top 10 mid. Id be stoked.
