sounds like a ponzi schemeDon't be too certain this is all about the Essendope saga....
Heard a rumour 6 months ago ...heard another rumour that seems to verify 6 month old rumour.
The Nanny ?So is it the same rumour?
So he found another medication to fix his "redacted" problem?Oh for heavens sakes. The rumour is he knocked up some French broad whilst overseas last year. It's been on these boards for months.
I don't think a former AFL player would attempt suicide after being caught cheating on his wife. The Nanny ?
If this is the real reason for his latest issue then letting everyone think it's the AFL and the medias fault is just bullshit.
When I read your first sentence I thought you were referring to Garry Lyon.I don't think a former AFL player would attempt suicide after being caught cheating on his wife.
I'm pretty sure in Rookie school they teach the players what to do when your missus finds out your banging a groupie/nanny/teammates other half. It's the lesson right after they design their own tatts.
Lyon Hird should be pride... but hasn't quite worked out that way...So he's been creating his own little hirds?
No problem with that at all.All puns aside, no matter the cause of his present state of mind, I hope he's able to recover fully.

YeahMy 59 yo sister went in the Lorne swim this weekend.
She said she beat Patrick Dangerfield by about 50 seconds!
(and she reckons she can also kick straighter)
It's purely a marketing gimmick. Look at the coverage. The council wanted something that would give Fremantle a reason to be talked about - it has nothing to do with reconciliation at all.Has the world gone mad?
He's being made the escape goat?No

Judgemental much...All puns aside, no matter the cause of his present state of mind, I hope he's able to recover fully.
No, it's called common decency.Has the world gone mad?
Great post! It's purely a marketing gimmick. Look at the coverage. The council wanted something that would give Fremantle a reason to be talked about - it has nothing to do with reconciliation at all.
If we just recognised, officially, the negative sides of Jan 26 for aboriginal culture - and acknowledged that it does mark an invasion day for a lot of indigenous people ... that would be significant. It doesn't need a change of date, it needs a change of context.
Hell, one of our biggest days in Australia is ANZAC day - where we acknowledge the 8000 or so Australians that lost their lives in Gallipoli and the 60k+ that died in the first World War. Why can't we acknowledge the negatives of European settlement in the same way? Over 20,000 aborigines were killed as a result of colonisation ... it was acknowledged back then, why not now?
"In less than twenty years we have nearly swept them off the face of the earth. We have shot them down like dogs. In the guise of friendship we have issued corrosive sublimate in their damper and consigned whole tribes to the agonies of an excruciating death. We have made them drunkards, and infected them with diseases which have rotted the bones of their adults, and made such few children as are born amongst them a sorrow and a torture from the very instant of their birth. We have made them outcasts on their own land, and are rapidly consigning them to entire annihilation."
~Edward Wilson, Argus, 17th March 1856
We can celebrate how far we have come together, what we have learned from each other .... oh, come to think of it - that might be a sticking point![]()
