For anyone looking to shake off those cobwebs from our Grand Final debacle, the last two minutes of Pork's loss to WCE never gets old.

Seasons Greetings to you Swooping Crow and all the ladies and gentlemen on this board, another year of fun and laughs in this thread. Yes, it is the great highlight of WCE’s year and provided much laughter to many other people too ;) It boggles the mind really. How did a young, fit team full of stars lose to Dad’s Army who couldn’t run out games? A mystery indeed!

Al the best for 2018, it’s the AFC’s time!

Greetings Shuestar! Yes Luke Shuey's goal was the highlight of the year. Adelaide Oval it seems is your second home ground.:D

With Nic Nat returning and your new stadium becoming the new house of pain, how do you rate your chances for 2018?

Yes there so many lol worthy moments in that extra time period, Shuey’s goal capped it off :D
AO sure is our second home, however if we played the Crows there this year, I am reasonably sure it would have been a loss!

As for WCE in 2018... it’s the great unknown. I personally think we will be in the mid table logjam again. Many have us sliding and that’s fair, we only just made the eight and have lost experience etc. Many questions about the ‘new’ midfield under SMitch, the new stadium, new gameplan. If all goes well, our midfield shows some improvement and development, we could surprise. One thing though, if we are hit hard by injury then big trouble. Our depth has taken a huge hit, almost Port Power bad now !

Can't wait to see Perth Stadium! Will be the new Adelaide Oval.

Supposedly better
Maybe from the inside.

It’s in the middle of a concrete slab. Can’t match the AO amongst the gardens and riverbank.

Edit: actually I take that back. Was there a few months back and it was near completion but drove past on the freeway and looked like a nice stadium in the middle of no where.

Seen a few concept photos. I suppose from the other angle (the actual river end) and with what looks like will be done with the grounds outside, it could look a bit special

Yes it looks amazing! We have desperately needed a new stadium for such a long time, I think many still can’t believe it has actually been built and the project happened.

Preparing for the inevitable backlash when WCE play one of the poor Victorian teams next year, imagine an extra ~25k WCE fans booing and helping the home town umpiring. Especially when demographically speaking, many of the people that will be attending games is the younger more ‘vocal’ crowd :D

Well, it is a brand new stadium built from scratch so it has everything that a modern ground should have. But it will take time to develop the human side, famous games and moments etc.

That’s where AO is amazing. A traditional ground, upgraded and enhanced, a blend of old and new. And just from watching on TV, the atmosphere is amazing. I seriously want to come over and visit. Would prefer to go to a Crows game (for obvious reasons) but no doubt would find it easier to get a ticket to a Port game LOL!

Don’t waste your time at a Port game.

should get this framed, what a beautiful event in history

God it was funny
Question 1)
How many players are allowed to stand the mark? I counted seven of the campaigners. Seven!

Question 2)
Considering it was the known last kick of the match, why was Portz' tallest player, or at least, tallest defender, not the designated player standing the mark with the other 7 cheats? Why Portz why?!!

:)he he he he

The NCAA doesn't consider playing professionally in a different sport an amateurism violation. My Maryland Terrapins have former VFL player Wade Lees as their punter (previously they had South Australian and lifelong Crows fan Brad Craddock), and guys like Brandon Weeden have played pro baseball for years before starting their college football careers.

It's sad that Craddock never got a run in the NFL

I was following him closely for a few years because his grandparents ran the lolly shop in Moonta and they had photos of him all around the shop.

Was hoping that the Browns was going to be his big break into the NFL.

Yeah I loved watching him for four years and I'm still convinced he could kick in the NFL. He was automatic and had a massive leg on him to boot. The Aguayo kid from FSU went in the second round despite Craddock being at least as accurate and easily more powerful. He was always a highlight on some pretty hard to watch Maryland teams and according to a guy I know who did PR for the team, he's a great kid and was really popular with the other players.
