Time for our boards 2017 Phantom Draft.

Calling out to 'players' who want to be involved, but first just for those who really want to go all the way.
Please don't nominate a club just yet as, if you trust me, I'll pull names out of a barrel and then when we have the full 18 clubs involved, I'll redraw those names and attach them to a club.

I feel that some posters deserve first dibs here and largely because they've followed this years crop harder than most.
Those posters would be SmokingGun Arr0w TerryWallet Jimmae ....... Sorry if I missed someone, but put in your claim and I'll deal with it.
If any of the named posters don't care to be involved, please say so.

I'm happy to run this Phantom and I won't be involved for my own reasons.

Why the Blue Room?
I, and others come here for footy content. Was a nightmare keeping abreast of the Snake Draft,
which stalled regularly, I assume that plenty of others do not go there either.

In my experience it's where the mods prefer that we keep it.

I have participated the last 2, maybe 3 years and they have been on the main board. Feeling like
it is your preference, and I fail to see why. Alerts are well and good, but so much easier to see
activity on club board. This thread and related confusion eventuated from YOUR desire to have
things in the Blue Room, and casual observers seeing little or nothing. Very hard to comprehend
motives.

Seems pretty straight forward .
The main board of a club board on a footy forum is absolutely the place for the phantom draft and I'd imagine it would be of great interest to most here in the lead up to the real thing where we hold 3 great selections .
The blue room for cakes , haircuts and whatever ...

Can see why you have a liking for the Blue Room with your sensitivity.
I applaud anyone who stands up and genuinely involves themselves in organisation or support
activities, and am not trying to "beat you down". All practicality and history scream main club board.

If you look back it was me who questioned Harker when a second phantom stream emerged. Starting
to wish I hadn't.

Spent many years on club and association committees and coaching junior sport as have always been
happy to put up or shut up. However there is a technical aspect to organising such a thing on-line. As
alluded to I am an oldie who has only kept up with basic technology out of necessity. (you won't see
multi quotes or links from me) Otherwise I would be happy to step up to organise as best fits a
team environment. The "likes" suggest others agree as to where.

It is not ego based or the like, poll the participants or tag the Mods to determine which board. If it
ends up in The Blue Room, I will opt out.

You said you thought it was my preference I said it wasn't. You then re-stated your belief about my intentions.

Tbh i am too busy and tired for this.

I withdraw from my role and the phantom draft in general. This is no longer a fun or engaging pursuit but a chore, and already have enough of those.

My suggestion is someone else take up the reins

I withdrew from running it.

Everyone wanted it to all be ready to go ASAP, and I am busy enough as is.

Maybe if we can get every above and below the '----' to confirm their participation by COB Thursday (9th of November). If we don't hear a peep from some from above the '----', we have three reserves to come in. We can do a random draw on Thursday night (if we still have enough numbers) to decide who gets which team.
