Surely we have plans in place to trade for a very good midfielder or try to snap up a decent one in free agency.
I know Priddis was quite terrible most of the year, but take he and Mitchell out of the rotations and what are we left with?

I see our opening bounce midfield next season looking like NicNat, Shuey, Redden and Sheed.

Who's next up?
Gaff on a wing sure, but who else?

I'm sure Yeo will get plenty of run but he's so important to that back line.

I'm all for Duggan getting a run as well and hopefully Partington and Venables can pinch hit, but it seems very, very bare.

Pretty standard to be honest but it's awesome to see Sam Taylor get in the 20.

Oh, one thing I will say - Jack Higgins at 4 is questionable for me. Yeah, he had that 7 goal game recently but he hasn't grown taller and apparently he took a year off school to work on getting drafted. The guy is AFL ready and performing as such but that's soaking up his upside. I'd be pleased if he goes before our first pick, even though I imagine he'll be a serviceable AFL player.

If there's one club that wont be afraid to take an injured junior like Fogarty, it's us.

Just reading the gaff + 28 for essendon 1st Colyer Myers .

using the draft points system it's equal to gaff for Colyer Myers and 32 .

Myers wouldn't even be in our best 22 poor man's redden .

Colyer ? fast but a sloppy kick we don't need another HBF .

Poor trade for us . If gaff leaves I want a high first rounder or a good young player and a first rounder with something going back .

Gaff is a contracted ball magnet , durable , AA wingman . We should not give him up for average players and a speculative picks

Should get back to them with Zach Merrett + 27 for our first, Masten and Schofield

Pick 4 and someone like Mountford? Theres not really many North players that Id want. They have similar problems in the middle to us. No star quality.

I get that feeling too, the club does tend to be quiet on the trade front, and with the amount of cash we have lying around it would be negligent not to use it to do something big.

Lol lever on par with McGovern. McGovern is an AA and possibly another AA next two his name this year. Other than the fact this gun a intercept marker, McGovern is also the best 1v1 defender this year and does take the oppositions best forward on a regular basis. Lever doesn't and I don't really see him doing it in the future.

I'd be expecting Lever in 4 years to be as good as McGovern is now, needs to put on a bit of bulk to be able to go 1 on 1 with the best forwards, in every other facet Lever is at least as good. Either way I don't actually expect us to get McGovern, just wishful thinking.
