the only bloke who could do this for us is cripps. but he'd fumble the ball and run away from goals and miss it from 35m out.

If they can play 50 games in their first three years then you would think they have something and that's why they are playing regularly. But what if it takes 5-7 years to play 50 games? That to me is a club who is hoping a player will deliver something they can't.
Every club has to have depth but surely 99% of players that are recruited are recruited to be first 22 players at some point on a regular basis.
Why are we holding on to Fraser McCinnes? What is the club seriously expecting from him? They have seen his best. What about Karpany, do they really think he is going to become a 30-40 goal small forward? They are dreaming if they are.
The point with all this is our club waits way to long with its players finding out what they already knew after a couple of seasons.

Agree we hold on for too long to players. I can see why we still have McInnes. Is basically depth ruck/fwd where we don't have any one else really. Is good at wafl level, probably solid enough to fill in at AFL but with the big guys there's a big jump in quality.

Karpany can surely play the small fwd role? Very evasive and skillful which is what we lack, and probably is a 20-30 goal a year guy at best but would rack up the goal assist. The karp has been slow going for sure but is going the right way. Takes Cripps role who I can see moving onto a flank/mid being a senior player now.

Cripps has a decent football brain, opportunist is what I like to call him. Finds himself in the right spots at the right time.. But outside of that he's rather limited. If he's not applying defensive pressure he's no more useful than Lecras has been.

With Liam Ryan you got a guy who can do so much more than that. 184cm, has long arms and a big leap.. Versatile small-medium sized forward. I haven't seen what he does defensively, but i imagine a guy of his natural gifts and light frame can cause some havoc for defenses
