I have only done the last two years but I picked for a few other clubs to fill in etc every player I have picked has played AFL even the late late picks. The one I'm proud of the most is Will Hayward for a 3rd rounderI'm curious - Post your history for the last 5 years mate.

As long as he didn't hit the labrador. I can't stand cruelty to animals.Don't pretend you weren't aiming for it
Doubt it would just cost $600k a year$600k pa isnt top dollar these days. The average with the new cap is $379k pa.
$600k is about what the bottom end of what A grade talent get paid these days.
The Shueys would be on $700/750k and the elite get $1m a year.
Yeah, I had fun thoughThat's about 8 times as many trades as we'll see in the entire trade period!

They wouldn't match.Doubt it would just cost $600k a year
a) Geelong would just match and force a trade
b) Doubt we would be the only team interested and it would become a bidding war. Why would he come over here unless it was for significantly more money and he's not worth paying overs for

Sounding more and more like they have a couple of big name targets. We delist players every year. Turns out they are waiting until after trade period before we do it

AFL clubs are not there to teach you to kick, it is just a fallacy that you will learn how to be a better kick at AFL level, you will learn better decision making and learn better awareness but your kicking ability is entrenched by the time you are drafted and while it would not be impossible it is highly unlikely your kicking ability will change.
How some of these blokes in the AFL and I mean there is truck loads of them even get drafted with their kicking ability is beyond me. AFL clubs spend way to much on blokes running and jumping ability instead of what is important. Clarkson has said many times he puts most emphasis on a players kicking skills ahead of everything else in regards to recruiting players, Hardwick has also said there is little that can be done about there kicking once they are drafted.
Jarrad Schofield will get the Coaching group jumping and improving ...seems to be on our radar with rumoured big money offered .

Yes, you would think someone like Schofield would be on a nice 250k with the rookies on 66k odd and with Jk, NN and Shueys salaries that bumps up the average.370 is the average but not the median, only about 20-30% of any given AFL list would actually be making 370 (Brad Scott said he only has about 10 players that are earning more than this). the average is inflated heavily by the millionaires and other top end talent. Majority of the league is definitely earning less than 350
