I reckon we should keep Yeo at HB, to me he plays better with the play in front of him, he reads it very well and uses his pace to set things up. Short bursts in the midfield for a spark is ok but not full time. He’s a long kick but I can’t really recall too many times when he’s delivering into 50 lace out like a Shuey or Mitchell. Plus being all Australian at HB why would we move him just because we think he should be a mid.
Duggan will eventually get into the midfield rotation no doubt.
If we can secure a good midfielder come trade time and have Venables, Partington take some steps next year we’ll be better. We also need to draft mids and fast track their development and not let them rot away in the WAFL for 3 years.

This is accepting mediocre player development. "If we can secure a good midfielder come trade time"... good luck with that champ. We've been trying for how long?! Wellingham, Redden, Jetta and Mitchell have been the answers. Duggan wasn't drafted as a HBF, and Yeo wasn't traded in to be a HBF. HBF's are failed mids. By keeping them as HBF's we are admitting that we've f'd up out recruiting and development in the last 3 years (since Simmo's been here) and thus heads should roll. I'm sick and tired of accepting mediocre. Partington is nice, but htere's nothing to show he is a-grade. Venebles hasn't even shown he is a WAFL mid, let alone AFL mid.
