That would be Stephen O'Reillys lad.
Haven't seen enough of him, but am looking forward to seeing how he plays in the Colts final Series after his last couple of games in the Seniors.
Not sure he is eligible this year as his birthday is June 2000, maybe next years cohort. But his Colts production is very encouraging he just kept getting better and better every week and his ability to hit the score board 39 goals 16 points from 15 games are stats that cant be ignored.

A kid to keep an eye out for a Rookie Spot is Ben Miller from Subiaco, Kalgoorlie kid and at 196 and 92 plays a lot taller than his height I thought he got the better of the Ruck Duels with Sam Hayes in the WA V Vic Metro game. Miller has a touch of the agro / nasties about the way he plays the game and I like that.
Miller sounds like exactly the kind of player we should take in the rookie draft so we'll no doubt overlook him

Man i felt sorry for that kid when i saw that footage. ****in lavenders

Yes, I think everyone felt sorry for the poor kid. It seemed the whole world hated on red-headed kids in that instance. The dastardly lavenders - kid should change teams.

I believe Sheed will go bang next year and become a (Matt Crouch) will average around the 30 disp. Will get his chance and time in the guts
That would be awesome but i don't think he needs to be averaging that high to even kill it for us (averaging 27-25 possessions a game would do it). Sheed is a pretty damaging player when he has things sorted out and has a very balanced game.
I like Sheed a lot, but he needs to take less time figuring out where to pass the ball to when he's marked the ball or received a free kick. It's really frustrating seeing him taking an eternity to kick the ball. Didn't mind it at first because it seemed like he was just taking his time to find the best option, but it's getting a bit much now, especially on the odd occasion when he ends up turning the ball over. If he can be more decisive he will become a much better player.
Think he is guilty of being Jk centric. Seems to only look for him way too often and burn better options by doing so. Its been prominent lately due to the boys as a collective looking for JK.

Hopefully J McGovern wants to come over and play with his brother next year. Whatever pick we get for Lever (6-10 this year) plus a second rounder might get it done?

Thanks mate. I like Ben Miller too - he would be a great pickup for us, we really need a KPF in the 195-200 range that Kennedy can mentor over the next two years.

Bugger, well the McGovern trade talk could backfire on us.

But to entertain the discussion for Gov Snr I'd be pushing for the first you get for Lever 6/10 plus your pick 17/18 and if needed we would send our 3rd back pick 45.

I think there might have been some romantic appeal in the both of them going to Freo where they have the family connection but from hearing Jez speak in the past I don't get the impression that he'd move to be with his brother in Adelaide.

Look I love McGov, he's one of, if not the best defender I the game, but for the right price, no one is off limits.. But there are two problems with you guys getting Gov.
1) as a contracted player we would have high demands. A Matt Crouch type plus a pick would be a starting point. And
2) the Crows are in adelaide. No one wants to live in adelaide.

I'd rather Rocky as a FA over Crouch. Disposal is not the best.

If Mitch McGovern didn't want to go over to Perth to play with his brother why would Jeremy?

All great in theory that's he's contracted, but we know what that means in the real world. Lever is still contracted to us also and in terms of output is on pretty much the same level as McGovern, so whatever we get in theory for Lever should be in the ballpark for McGovern. Add in the fact that if he is a free agent next year and if he wants to leave (and I have no idea if he does just saying if) then you'll get more for him trading this year.

Considering his extremely low time played in mid and sub-par fitness I'd agree. A big preseason will unleash the sheed.

Lol lever on par with McGovern. McGovern is an AA and possibly another AA next two his name this year. Other than the fact this gun a intercept marker, McGovern is also the best 1v1 defender this year and does take the oppositions best forward on a regular basis. Lever doesn't and I don't really see him doing it in the future.

Careful - Lever is only 21 and was picked in the AA squad this year.

Using your logic, are you down-playing Rance for not playing on the No 1 defender?

If we resign Emac for two years then maybe we could look at Schofield to the Cats for a third rounder?

He can come in and cover them after Mackie and Lonergan's retirement. He's also a Geelong boy and only 28 so he should serve them for 2-3 years playing Mackie's role.

Anything would be handy. Even a 4th rounder. Better than wasting away in the WAFL

Thought he married a Perth girl!

I cannot see his trade value being much at all.

Win win trade I rekon.

Just reading the gaff + 28 for essendon 1st Colyer Myers .

using the draft points system it's equal to gaff for Colyer Myers and 32 .

Myers wouldn't even be in our best 22 poor man's redden .

Colyer ? fast but a sloppy kick we don't need another HBF .

Poor trade for us . If gaff leaves I want a high first rounder or a good young player and a first rounder with something going back .

Gaff is a contracted ball magnet , durable , AA wingman . We should not give him up for average players and a speculative picks
