Lecras still has a lot to offer when fit...Issue is his body isn't up to it anymore. He almost needs to play every 2nd week to be managed.

He does that already ( well as far as making any meaningful contribution goes anyway ) ............ as far as being managed I agree but I have zero confidence that our Match Committee have either the balls or smarts to do so.

Most of the other players you listed have an outstanding attribute, a potentially outstanding attribute, or a bigger body to protect the younger kids.

I don't watch Subi much but have done the last couple of weeks and he has not done those things you talk about, maybe he has for most of the year?
In fact all I have seen is another Jetta type who wants everyone else to do the hard work.
But a couple of games is not much of a sample.

It just shows the direction we'll be going come draft time. Lecrap signing on (yes I'll use the name and wear the ban) means the club clearly sees that forward line and the small forwards in it as low priority. Despite the fact it obviously needs a real shake up.

So say goodbye to any thoughts of drafting 60 goal forward Liam Ryan.

And what of Karpany? Finally gets a look in and this shit happens. WAFL again in 2018.

Masten if nothing else has elite running capacity/fitness. Not bad delivering a bullet into the fwd line too. Being terrible 1 on 1 is his biggest weakness, would still be handy for GC, Brisbane even Carlton.

Would rather Cripps gone than Lecras, Rioli hopefully will be a player to help out.

Not overly phased about last night, it was 3rd v 8th and their is a huge gap clearly.
Simpson surely knows the list is average and it is his job to build it again.
The sad thing fir me is that NicNat may disguise the huge issues we have in the midfield and they won't get addressed.

Thing is at least Matt was playing reasonable football in 2016. Drew still was in 2017.

Lecras is absolutely cooked. So slow, in both running AND decision making. He's a full second behind everyone else on the field.

He plays on again and it will be half a season of shit form, couple of fake injuries and we'll either carry him all year into retirement or he'll go mid season.

Either way it'd be a pointless, counter productive decision by the club. He's had his time and he's simply not good enough now, it's time to give younger players some opportunities.
