Kennedy doing his ACL early hurt them badly in that game, and they have the worst injuries in the comp at the moment.

Fair call, but still feel their depth is overstated. And like I said, if they lose another 2-3 very good players again this year, it will stretch them yet again

No. If Kelly chooses us over a big long term guaranteed offer from North like that. At least we know he's choosing us over them for reasons other than money. But ofcourse its not just going to be a 2 horse race anyway. Will be other good offers.

I think Tom Lamb would thrive if back in Melbourne. I remember him as a very family orientated kid back in juniors...not saying he should come to St Kilda but I really think you'll never see his best if he doesnt get a chance back in Victoria.

Salary cap getting bigger and bigger, inflation etc... If you back yourself to get better as a player (which a 22yo probably will) why not wait 5 years?

Kelly definitely doesn't play like a wing. He's a pure midfielder and a bloody good one.
I couldn't give a shit if Tom Lamb was a gun at junior level (which isn't true hence him getting drafted in the 40's??) he has done absolutely nothing at AFL level to suggest he would improve our team. Let someone like Carlton or Collingwood roll the dice on him so they can enjoy even more years being mediocre.

Yes Kelly has moved to the midfield this year and is killing it but he spent plenty of time on a wing up until this year. Plenty of press referencing this move and referring to Whitfield and Scully as his fellow wingman. I would be happy to just have him at the club, nice problem to have where do we play Kelly.

Tom lamb doubt we will have to worry about it but he played for vic country and had a shit load of press, some very impressive performances. Kid moved around schools started at st bedes, haileybery and finished at parkdale . I think this is why he fell to pick 32. I'm more interested in the concept of unrealised talent than him in particular. Who knows why some players don't click at some clubs. Plenty of gifted players have made fools of their original clubs. Holmes on the other hand will never be a player just a waste of a list spot imho.

Let's be honest. Kelly can play anywhere around or in the centre square. He could be an inside mid, an inside/outside mid, a pure outside mid or even a back or forward flanker. Kid is a superstar & will only get better.... He is the #1 priority this offseason IMHO
