Had a quick look and couldn't see a thread of this topic.

Does anybody have an update of our current injury situation ie who is looking to be fit for Rd 1?

Only thing I have heard is that Harley tweaked a calf ( surprise ) and Cerra copped bit of a knock in a intra club.

How are we looking for the season opener?

INJURY LIST as of 06/03/18

http://www.fremantlefc.com.au/news/2018-03-06/injury-list-hill-on-track

Apeness: Adductor 2 weeks
Bennell: Calf TBA
Hill: Calf TBA
Logue: Foot 1 week

Dixon, Apeness, Tabs, Switkowski, and Kersten have all been on modified schedules - some returning from injury, some being managed. Nothing serious for any of them. Probably the healthiest the list has been for years - new facilities? rejigged program? no more voodoo dolls? Hopefully it’s a trend that continues throughout the year

You're tempting fate here.

Cerra has the all clear for the JLT games (according to The West online). S Hill has to sit out JLT 1 (according to the Hack).

if anyone wants to compile a nicely formatted list (serial_thrilla ?) I'll edit it into the OP and update as new developments roll in

Have to say I'm pretty excited at the overall health of the list, can't really remember the last time we headed into a season with such a clean bill of injuries

Add Bennell and Hill. Is Ballantyne still injured?

It probably helps that we've moved on Morabito, Clarke and Uebergang so we're not starting the year on the back foot. We still have long termers in Bennell and Apeness to get onto the park

Didn't Apeness join in full training a few weeks ago now?

Apeman, Tabs & Kersten all played in the intraclub scratchy before AFLX. One of those who watched could confirm whether Dixon played.

Alex Pearce being managed
Switowski, S. Hill, Ballantyne & Darcy all missed the scratchy

AP played intra club praccy match. Be interesting if picked Sunday.

***Completely unconfirmed and taken from training thread***

Guesstimate 2018 return (as at 21st Feb)

Apeness 2-3weeks (rnd 2)
Kersten - Test
Dixon - Test
Alex Pearce - 1-2 weeks (JLT 2)
Switowski 1-2 weeks (JLT 2)
S. Hill - 1-2 weeks (JLT 2)
Bennell - 2 weeks (rnd 1)
Darcy- 2-3 weeks (Rnd 2)

Any others feel free to add

Yep. I meant that in recent years we've had 4-5 guys injury prone players who are more unlikely than likely to play a number of games throughout the year. We've moved on a number of them but I'd still have Bennell and Apeness in that basket now until they get through a solid patch of games.

When was the last time S Hill got through a season without missing games through injury. Is it my imagination or has should he be labelled injury prone?

He played 21/22 games in 2016 and 23/24 in 2015. His lowest for a season is 18 (last year), he's played over 20 games in a season in 7 out of 9 seasons.
I'd say he is historically durable.
He's had injuries but who hasn't by their 10 season?

Whats the story with Stephen Hill?
Seems he’s super durable and never misses many games. It’s just that his output declines significantly if he’s carrying any knock (which is usually about 75% of games lately). Probably better to rest him for two or three games to get him right rather than have him attempt to soldier on (if rest actually helps).

that’s my general perception on him. Not sure if he’s currently carrying anything
