Happy to have him on boardI was hoping Tommy would get another chance. From all accounts he's a really popular player with the group and a hard worker.
Speed? We can use some of that.I'd say endurance and speed are his main attributes. I think Freo played him out of position in the past in the back line. This year reminded us he has a good goal sense and a nice kick.
https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl...ch-suspension-over-video-20181101-p50dhy.htmlShane Mumford is set to begin his AFL comeback with the Giants under suspension, with a two-match ban likely as a result of the league's investigation into the video of the ruckman snorting a line of white powder.
I find it a bit wierd suspending a non-player, but whatever I guess. From that I guess we are intending to draft him.
This confused me but I think I might understand why now. GUMBLETRON on the trades board suggested it might be to do with lifetime free agency.https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/sh...n/news-story/8d824fda1a7c58daaf2e973450c255a8
SHANE Mumford could rejoin the GWS Giants as a player without nominating for the national AFL draft later this month.
But Mumford won’t be able to make an immediate impact, with his 2019 comeback reportedly set to be delayed due to a likely two-match suspension over three-year-old footage of him snorting a large quantity of white powder.
Despite an AFL investigation into the widely-circulated footage of Mumford casting doubt on his comeback, the Herald Sun reports that the ruckman is almost certain to resume his career at the Giants in 2019.
And the 32-year-old could join the Giants’ list as a rookie without the risk of rival clubs, who’ve shown interest in Mumford, swooping in the draft due to new AFL list rules.
“After speaking with the AFL, our understanding is that Shane has the ability to walk directly to the club of his choice as of the 1st of December without having to nominate for the draft,” Mumford’s manager Anthony McConville told the Herald Sun.
