Im not for getting Shiel with a top pick. But adding Gaff and Shiel would be pretty special.

I dont think gws will end up with pick 9 as lots have stated will come back. I see them pushing up the ladder

Obviously Robbie Gray, but Caddy/DeGoey/WHE/Petracca/Ziebell/Danger when forward etc. etc. (varying abilities, but that type).

And it's not Lukosius. I'm not saying he wouldn't be a great get for us, but we would still need a mid-sized power forward.

Gray is obviously an absolute gun. But even a lesser player in a similar mode is a massive need for us.

Good group. Trying to think if there are any out there of lesser value. Would love a WHE type.

I am fixated on a idea of where I want the club to go … and I have my own pre conceived ideas on what we should be doing to get there ….

Just so we are clear …

1. Bolts stays
2. SOS stays
3. Dunno much about the board (no comment here)
4. Andy Mac … I really don't know exactly what his job was to comment if he was achieving any KPI's. Seems a good time to move along … considering I see him as part of the old regime that bought us **** all. The 1-2 week thing is just a bloody funny joke (I often wonder if that was his version of twisted humour at times)
5. Only way you can clean house is bringing in the BEST possible talent every year. Draft best talent available at that pick regardless of position.
6. FA should be used to draft for specific needs, and fills specific shortfalls the draft cannot plug.
7. We need to bolster the midfield ASAP. You can never have enough midfielders. You always turn a good midfielder into a HB or HF. Harder IMHO to turn a set HBF into a clearance mid. This way your arc players D50 to centre to F50 become so much more flexible from a coaching point of view. (More strings to the bow etc ..)
8. Talls take longer so you will never see me bag them often if at all.
9. I refrain from character slaughtering 1-3 year players. Ridiculous expecting them to play like 24 yo's .
10. I don't have much time for recycled players (delisted) as I believe they were delisted for a reason … mostly being not up to AFL.

If these things align with any other posters … then I guess I'm a cohort lol!

Shiel wouldn't have helped us today.
He is the cream you add to a semi strong list.
He racks up possessions but doesn't overly hurt teams. Averaging about 3 tackles a game, never kicked more than 13 goals in a season. Hes a classy mid, dont get me wrong.

He is only averaging 1 centre clearance a game (so he aint helping cripps anytime soon like some people think he will). 2 stoppage clearances a game. He has had 1 tackle for the whole year inside the attacking 50 and has kicked 3 goals 8 behinds in his 13 games played.

Yes... i want him. No i dont believe the argument we should get him as he will help cripps out. Thats been mentioned that many times on here without looking at the facts about Dylan.

He is an outside player. He doesnt hurt the opposition on the scoreboard. He does deliver the ball well to his team mates. So unless we have a killer forward line (which we dont) shiel wouldn't have made much difference and i doubt he will next year (if we get him) to our 2019.

Classy, classy player. Not a cripps helper. This guy is the cream. I just dont think our cake is set yet

Feel a little sorry for him and i wonder what he is doing at our club. Here is a guy who should be in his prime but will be cut for Kruz as soon as he is fit. Do we expect Phillis to just want to play this role, i wonder if he will look elsewhere come seasons end.
