Lol such a charity club. Suck s**t.
They'll never be able to exist without handouts. No one wants to sponsor them despite the China wankfest. All this after the supposed massive turnaround and fleeting wet dream that balance of power in SA had shifted. Lasted 5 minutes. They will never have a strong following. Not sure what the point of having them in the comp is?

To entertain the people of Adelaide while we are away - and they can't even do that.

I hate charismatic politicians.

I like sensible dorks.
Given that it took him so long to beat a labour govt that had long overstayed its welcome, I doubt he will be much of a leader.

I'm expecting some tax cuts for business that don't change much in the grand scheme and not much else. At least we know it will be a bland few years.

I think the biggest reason for this (and I'm far from an expert) is that Facebook/Snapchat/Insta these days is 99% of all social life for kids. THey don't go out as much, they don't join clubs, etc etc...they get home and get on their phones. To not have these accounts is to essentially barricade them from social interactions. It would be like saying the best way to deal with a bully is to never talk to anyone.

I'm sure I saw a NYTimes or WaPo article about this but I can't find it.

And that is the nail on the head with this issue, social media is truly fantastic at controlling someones social life, to the point you get abandoned very quickly without it. That's no knock on facebook either, it almost excels too well as an organisational tool.

I admire anyone that does actively abandon it (and naturally there are people that do)/forced to survive without it in that teenager/mid 20s age bracket.

"The Adelaide Football Club and AFL Northern Territory (AFLNT) have welcomed a decision by the Northern Territory Government (NTG) to increase its commitment to the Crows AFL Women’s team.

NT Minister for Tourism and Culture Lauren Moss on Saturday announced that the NT Labor Government had doubled the team’s funding to $300,000 over two years."

AND...

"The State Government has thrown its support behind the Crows’ AFL Women’s team and women’s footy in South Australia, committing $275,000 to the Adelaide Football Club to assist with its activities to grow female participation in the State.

The State Government will partner with the Club to support its women’s team as well as boost its female-focussed grassroots football and schools programs which aim to reach an audience of up to 10,000 girls.

Premier Jay Weatherill made the funding announcement at the team’s Round Three clash with Carlton at Thebarton Oval.

Crows Chairman Rob Chapman thanked the State Government for its ongoing support."

Far cry from $8m from one Govt in one year. Not mentioning all the previous ones, the China money and the pathetic “The train was late so here’s $50k” bull$hit.
Nice try but ummmm.......next?
Port lost about $15,000,000 tonight between the funds Jay and Nick pledged them.....

The only things open are a couple of the Macca's and Uncle Sams (Uncle sams is a 24 hour dinner, it serves chinese food and other stuff. Like literally after a night on the piss you can get a large container of beef and black bean, rice and tortellini)
Anyway the 2 open Maccas have 3-4 street lineups in the drive through. Still no KFC though which is the measure of civilisation.
Apparently there is a cat-4 rolling through next week. It won't be as much fun.

Why would it be. We have a lease at Football Park until at least 2048 regardless of who’s in government

Aware of our Footy Park arrangement, just on the thought of different government, different ideas, that’s all.

If he repairs a few roads and deregulates trading hours like he said he would, I'll be satisfied.

That backfired a bit on you didn't it

I’m really lucky... my kid gets in the car and tells me about his day from beginning to end on the drive home. He’s done this ever since he was little. Never had to drag anything out of him. We had issues in grade 4 where he was always encouraged to stick up for kids that were being bullied (I had been bullied every day of my primary years). He was sticking up for an older boy (and it was one of his friends that was bullying the older kid) and he ended up with a rather large scratch on his arm. He said to me “Mum, I don’t want to play with this kid anymore” and I said to him “You don’t have to, but you have to tell him why... something along the lines of “You are still my friend, but I don’t want to play with you when you are nasty to other kids”. Feeling proud of myself, I sent him off to school armed with the confidence to take control of the situation. I get a phone call from the school telling me MY kid was bullying this other boy. So I trot down to the school to get to the bottom of it... and apparently my darling boy had told this kid that “my mum says I don’t have to play with you anymore”. FMD! And apparently, exclusion is considered bullying. I explained what the plan had been, but that I also felt that he should have the choice who he socialised with in the playground. They disagreed. In the end we moved him to another school at the end of the year... not just because this had been handled poorly (IMO), but because their educational philosophy was focused around helping girls to succeed, at the expense of the boys. I thought there might have been bullying issues at the next school given it was a private all boys school.... but in 8 years there, we’ve not had one issue that he hasn’t been able to deal with himself.
It's unbelievably dissapointing, the amount of primary schools which are like this. Dealing with a bully is bullying and many do throw the boys under the bus completely in favour of the more mature girls. I've seen one particular situation where (after a lot being told what was going on and hardly believing), girls from a year level in a very small school mind you, came out beautifully fluent in English and across the board were genuinely quite switched on kids.

50% of the boys couldn't read an analogue clock. Literally. And after 4 years in a high school with a decent learning environment, one of them is one of the most switched on, mature kids you'll know.

God schools can be pains.

How will they survive without this essential skill? They probably can't use an abacus or understand morse code either! Thank god you got your kid out of that pro-girl abomination and into a proper all-boys private school with good values ... he can probably tie a proper Windsor knot now.

Hopefully more people see the injustice and we can stop these rampant SJWs giving these young girls such a huge advantage

Good rant that.

It's pretty alarming they couldn't read a clock ;)
