Conversations with Cornesy is actually really good

I could have listened to him talk to Jeremy Cordeaux for hours

He did Rob Chapman yesterday. That one wasn’t as interesting as I was hoping.

Conversations with Cornesy is alright, but a lot depends on who they have on, it would also work better with a new interview each day. They have a lot of repeats on.

Apparently it is popular but I can see it.

Charlie hasn't ever played in a side as bad as Brisbane. I can see him going backwards not so much because he will get worse as a player but he just won't have the ease of supply. Lions will certainly benefit from his tackling and defensive pressure but I seriously doubt he will kick more goals and win more possesions there. I guess it really depends on whether Brisbane can improve as a team.

This is how I feel too, which i why I always thought he'd be better off at Adelaide for his long term career.

Reminds me a bit of Andrew Eccles going to Carlton with big wraps and not long after gets delisted.

Don't think it will be that bad for Charlie but you never know, especially if he were to lose his speed.

I see Vossy said in today's paper that hte Power game plan changes is a work in progress and will take more than one pre-season. Perhaps a Rucci counter for number of days before the game plan works against quality opposition? Seems contrary to their message that Watts et al will fix the issues.

If it is going to take a couple of seasons there players will be even older by then and make it far more difficult.
Time is now for Port Adelaide.

Is that an admission the coaches are poor teachers of the supposed new gameplan?

I wonder if he said this during his coaching masterclass during the Koolaid Convention? Surely it would have upset the attendees if he did. Or did the Lemmings there just nod their head in agreement and bask in the glory of his words.

The Hinkley era is turning into Terry Wallace at the Tigers.

Perpetual 5 year plans.

Look - enough of this from you uncouth and uninformed plebs.

The hybrid system is the only system that can dominate the AFL. It's the bees-knees. We all know it, and we all wish we had it.

We all know that finishing 7th and losing the final last year was part of the plan, that the game you saw on the weekend showed how the "runway" was being used and how the Power are about to control all things AFL.

One of the chief football writers on the Power board is even putting money down, that's how confident he is. Sure he put those bets on the weekend KNOWING he would lose, but if that is a very closed minded way to look at it. Big Picture! BIG PICTURE! It was a $50 investment to show everyone that he knew that losing the JLT was part of the plan, that not winning is not the point. The bet he laid on the Power for Premiers will become folklore, and make him nearly as much as his day trading in crypto currency does.

Any team that finishes with the 2nd highest points for and the 3rd least points against in the previous season AND employs the hybrid plan AND loses it's first JLT on purpose ... should be favourites for the flag this season. I don't want to hear this rubbish about playing bottom 4 sides OR that they have no youth coming through OR that their stars are ageing OR that their recruits are less than the best players in the league OR that their coach seems to be struggling.

Jealousy is a curse.

Making excuses already after only one JLT game. Oh my this could end really badly for them.

I really don’t think they’re even close so while the time is probably now for them, I think they’re mine and Buckley’s for the flag.

Oh Rowey, he reckons Port are challenging Grays ban on behalf of the game.

How magnanimous of them, to spend $10K in money they don't have, for the good of the game.

Based on last year's P&L, they can do two more challenges for the year...

My exact thoughts when I heard.

However, if Cotchin's is anything to go by, Robbster needs to get off. If it were Martin and there was a GF coming up, there'd be some bullshit AFL dribble as to why he should get off.

To be fair if Robbie had any intent in that contest he would have flung himself forward to milk a free.
That should be his defence. Show tape of previous times be sensed contact and his actions as evidence of what his intent generally is in such situations. There are plenty of examples.

There is no way he meant to bump a player bigger than him. It is not the Port Adelaide way

Wasn't going for the ball

Best scenario :
Port lose a third of last year's profit, Gray ineligible for Brownlow and has career best year!

Port then start a crowd funding web page coz they fought it on behalf of every other club

Hahaha
In this year's annual " we're not racists - it's all impersonators " thread :

"Has ANYONE here ever seen a Port Adelaide club official walking around at games with a "badge" pinned to their club polo?"

No - not yet - but can't wait to see how puffers are going to attach the new "major sponsor " logo to their sponsorless polo shirts !!!!

Maybe they'll spend another 1/3 of their profit and splash out with iron on logos !

Is'nt the AFL appeal procedure like any other, i.e., that you can only appeal a decision based on procedural inadequacies?
Yet, most seem to think that you can "appeal" because you didn't like the decision and expect them to get it right next time.

He may increase his possessions if he plays more in the midfield & has greater responsibility.

I did laugh reading that some land that is part of Footy Park is to be used to build an Aged Care facility.

Crows supporters stereotypes and all....

" Please note, I am not saying they were Freo fans pretending to be Port fans for the day. How can anyone possibly know? But I will just say that this sort of thing does happen."

Er
Yeah
Ya are saying that !

In the end one bloke is “bracing” for contact and the other is still trying to get the ball. Robbie could’ve chosen to still go for the ball but he didn’t, if he did there’d be no problem.

Rowe crapping on about he only had .3 of a second .....

How long did a batsman get to play a shit when facing Brett Lee ?

He should have summed up the situation in the seconds before the incident and decided to go for the ball or to sweat off and tackle McGovern one he took possession.

Careless and bad decision making
