Is Luenberger any chance of playing more than 7 games in a season .....if so, he's priced very well, ave 76 ....i may boost R3 with the extra money ?

Rux sux.....see what I did there, very clever.

If D. Cameron plays round one I'll lock him in as R2.

This year you have to riskit to get the soggy biskit when it comes to rucks.
Unless you take Rideher with that shit bye.

Haven't had Paddy Whack (for ages) for the very reason of today's news.

Set & forget is unlikely to work.

And this after all the BS about him coming back for last years finals.
When he gets on the field surely TOG is an issue. Career average is 74.2%. Only over 80% for one season (82.2% in 2012). For 2016 his TOG was 66.8%. Coming back from injury the question is low will this go. So a second ruck seems a necessity.
NN is a non-starter for me and I'm hoping coach Longmire does the right thing on round one selection night. If so, I'll take the punt and it's "Darcy Cameron, come on down".

Sam Jacobs -

2017 - 95.7 SC Average

  • Averaged a career high 39.8 hitouts :thumbsu:
  • Played every game :thumbsu:
  • Recorded career high 64 clangers
  • Averaged 107.4 from Round 18 - Grand Final :thumbsu:

2014 - 115.4 SC Average

  • Averaged 34.7 hitouts
  • Played every game :thumbsu:
  • Recorded 33 clangers :rainbow:
  • Had Dangerfield at his feet :fire::footy:
I'm thinking that the ultra durable hitout machine that is Sam Jacobs has been locked in as my R1 for as long as I care to remember. I can only see Gibbs helping him out when it comes to hitouts to advantage and hopefully helping him drop that insanely high clanger count. I'm hoping Sloane can fire up in a contract season as well, and fiend for the footy off the Jacobs tap. Jacobs, Sloane, Gibbs, Crouch. Pretty impressive.

He actually had a really similar year to his standout 2014 if you care to check the stats -

Anyway, Jacobs + Gawn are locked at this stage. A bit boring, but I don't see many worthwhile cheaper options popping up. NN was a flight risk way before the recent articles came out. He was always going to be managed on those long flights with a history of falling apart.

I rate Ryder and he'd be in strong consideration for me if there was a way to avoid the seemingly imminent donut. Currently got English at R3, really hoping he gets a look this season.

Trying to decide whether to go a strong R2 ...or two mid price R2 & R3 ?

Any injuries, or byes to rucks will crucify me .....is this the year to have a stronger reliable R3 ?

i think if Cameron or Flynn or someone else cheapish plays early and looks to be the main ruck, then you could get away with them at R3 and taking a Lycett or Ceglar at R2, because you then have coverage

ive got Cameron/Flynn at R3 locked in, but im running with 2 top line rucks

This is going to be one of the most intriguing strategies of SC 2018 ......i'd like to have Lycett as my R3

Cripps at M6 is looking less and less likely now. Going to have to use the cash to prop up all these cheap returning players or ones that are still not full training (Lobb, NicNat...) - **** it, may just lock in Kruezer/Gawn.

With rlobb being a slight injury concern atm theres talk dawson and Errol could play early

Surely they'd just play Bart as no.1 ruck though if big Knobs injured and let the big boys up forward in Cameron and Patton pinch hit for him to give him a rest, where did this Errol geeza come from?

Lice head was locked in as r2

He is now glued, screwed and liquid nailed in

Give me 8 of your best big guy. That's all I ask
These same things can be said about your balls...

Think I'm just going to lock in Jacobs/Gawn for now. If NicNat does fire up and smashes the end of pre-season, I'll probably free up some cash. Kruezer could still be an option for Jacobs, expensive, but helps the bye structure, will put up the points you pay for and if he does go down early can trade to anyone. Too hard to fit Ryder in with his bye and no real cover option.
