If he didn't play any JLT i HIGHLY doubt he will play round 1 or any early games for that matter......if they wanted to start Smith they would have played him during JLT since he is a fringe player.

No chance of Smith playing early Rounds, he's such a raw prospect.

I'm also struggling with my R2, any thoughts on D.Simpson (GWS)... Similar price to Lycett but he only has Lobb to contend with for the number 1 GWS ruck spot, and Lobb could spend more time forward..?

Can someone explain to me why Sauce Jacobs isnt in the conversation this year?

Averaged 108 in finals which would have upped his overall average to 100 if finals counted. Durable as you're going to find for a ruckman. Averaged 107 and 115 2 and 3 years ago. Has Crouch, Gibbs and Sloane at his feet for a basically automatic very good HO to advantage percentage.

Adelaide should be very good again, and if you look at who Sauce is up against for the first 10 games I wouldn't be surprised to see him average 105+ over this period (Bellchambers, Nankervis, Longer, Grundy, Sinclair, Witts, Kreuzer, Ryder, Roughead, Gawn, Lobb).

He'll beat all those guys in hit outs except for Witts, Ryder and Gawn. He'll beat Witts around the ground, Ryder and Gawn should get the better of him though (he did however score 95 and 138 VS Ryder last season, the 138 winning him the Showdown medal).

Anyway it seems there are many ruckman being considered, but Sauce isn't one of them. I feel like I must be missing something, but he's locked as my current R1.

I'm keen on him, doubt he'll go under 95 average, but can't see him averaging 100+

Look at his stats, they're elite, if Goldy or Gawn or anybody else had those numbers every week, they'd score 150s. Jacobs gets screwed by CD, legit. I've had him several times over the last few years and I'm sick to death of watching him get robbed of points

As I said, decent pick, can't go wrong, but I honestly believe he gets unfairly scored by CD

Had a look on the Sydney board, literally no one is expecting Cameron to play, the only reason he might is if Sinclair doesn't get up in time and Cameron is their only remaining fit ruckman. Doesn't bode well for the old R3, might just take Olango

I'm not expecting Cameron to play until later on
Swans play Sat/Sun matches up until their first Fri nighter in round 5, so he'll be a fine loophole in the early rounds
