Now your talking Hanbebery - Armo - Dunstan slow inside mids TICK have that covered.
Wouldn't question his professionalism, but i would question the clubs professionalism if we get another slow inside mid.
Cant blame him for topping his super up
Not sure I'd say Hannebery is a slow inside mid?

He's not lightning, but he isn't slow and he's a terrific runner when fully fit, much like Gaff. In 2016 when he was named on the wing in the AA side he averaged 30 touches a game and 18 uncontested.

Yes I hear he's killing it in the NEAFL.

Great leader as well.

He'll be a lot more useful that a slow inside mid who can't win possession of the ball any more and when he does he kicks like a drunk Luke Dunstan. I loved Hanners back in the day but he's shot, he's Armo like in his physical restriction. He'd be handy for leadership as far as training standards go but his off field issues make him not so great as a leader.

Well he's a head on that one ;)

My rugby league team in the early eighties nearly all had permed heads like that.

FMD, imagine linking up Hanners with Jakey and Jimmy!! maybe they take Billings, Sincs, Seb and the rest of our nancy-boys out in St Kilda for a few line meetings

Sydney fans want him delisted he's so bad now. It would want to be one of those ones where they give us a pick to take him of their hands for salary cap relief. He won't play after his debut game for us. He's gone.

Some fans are bonafide idiots. Sydney fans? Jebus, they still complain about decisions made by the ‘ref’!!

I’m flabbergasted that an elite player like Hannebery is being considered to be a broken down hack when he’s 27.

He’s obviously playing hurt but still performing to a level that exceeds most of our incumbent mids.

Absolutely no reason why he couldn’t or won’t regain his form. The only worries from me are the cost and that he’s not my idea of a leader due to his off field habits (well away from Buddy he might clean up his act).

Hanners for a 2019 2nd rounder? Yes please.

If Hannebery is available then you grab him. He's 27. If he can get back to near his best that's an A grade mid sorted. No brainer.
I agree, he'd have to show the will and want to get back to his best first but if the drive is there and his health is in good nick it's a no brainer. I'd rather take a risk on him than pursue someone like Aaron Hall.

Does this Hannebery chat have any substance, or is it purely Bigfooty Speculation?

I'm about 40 pages behind on this thread.

Cheers.

Yes, there has been plenty of talk that Sydney are keen to off load him because his body is stuffed...which could be code for can't get him off the gear. He's been really bad this year. He's young enough but what club off loads a top line talent at 27 when he's just sore? Smacks of Andrew Lovett to me, club keen to off load their problems on to the loser club.

You do realise that if we somehow land Hall and he's a bust...

Then the club, board, members and forum will personally hold you responsible...

Yeah just like Michael Gardiner...

If the price is right you get him just for his leadership alone..
Get him for the guts, get Mitchell as mids coach.

Two premiership players coming from winning organisations.

Would be a great get for our mids group

So Hannebery is an accused rapist?

If Hannebery can pass a medical then at the right price I’d love him.

I don’t think there are too many secrets in the AFL these days so the rumours don’t bother me.

I really don’t care if he needs to sit out until mid year if it’s his groins. Get his body right and we get 3-5 years of a hard nosed midfield gun.

Hannebery, hall and an early first rounder that’s a pretty good start.

Buyer beware!
Let’s not get a testimonial from Sheedy and Hird this time around.

Does anyone rate Wallis from the Dogs? I'd rather get him without giving up any draft picks. He's a hard inside mid that could replace the toughness lost from Koby and Armo (assuming things for Armo aren't looking good).

Also is there a chance that we're interested in Lynch?

Doubt we would leave unless he is pushed/told.

Yeah, we won't take him and he'll go somewhere else and be gun. We will get Hanners and his legs will fall off walking out of the airport on the way down from Sydney.

Haha!
In handcuffs as he's being dragged off by the Police leaving a trail of white powder in his wake
